PRESS RELEASE - TKART - Tonio Liuzzi to be present with Maranello Kart at the 20th Winter Cup of Lonato, as he is the Italian outfit testimonial in Asia with importer Zen Motorsport. Federer, Dante, Giannoni and the Spanish driver Cebrian on track in KZ2 . Larsen in KFJ.

Maranello Kart will be present at the 20th Winter Cup of Lonato, race scheduled for next 20-22 February, with its lineup ready for the challenge at the South Garda Karting Circuit to highlight the excellent quality of the new material by Maranello. In the occasion, the champion Tonio Liuzzi will support Maranello as he took on the role of testimonial of the Italian outfit with the new Asian importer Zen Motorsport, that will promote and sell Maranello products in Asia from this year on.

The presence of Tonio Liuzzi with Maranello is quite a special and important one, as the former Formula 1 driver won the first Winter Cup in 100 ICA on the legendary chassis Kalì-Kart twenty years ago – back in 1996.  His presence at the edition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Winter Cup has therefore a rather special significance. Tonio Liuzzi will certainly give a further push to all the drivers of team Maranello Kart in Lonato.

A very experienced driver like Fabian Federer is ready to get on track at the 20th Winter Cup with Maranello Kart, as the 2011 European Champion of the category will be at the wheel of a Maranello chassis pushed by Maxter. The confirmed and expert of Lonato's circuit Massimo Dante will be on track with Maranello-Tm, as the young Lorenzo Giannoni, who is at his debut in the category but has high ambitions to shine. The Italian outfit will also line up the Spaniard Gerard Cebrian Ariza in KZ2.

Maranello Kart will field the Norwegian Truls Larsen in KF Junior instead.

The Winter Cup will kick off on Friday 20 February with qualifying practice and heats. Heats will then continue for the whole of Saturday. Second chance races will follow on Sunday ahead of the Prefinals scheduled from 13.00hrs (local time) and Finals from 14.40hrs.
