Over the weekend, the Adria Karting Raceway saw over 150 drivers (mainly national) take part in the two days of collective tests, which marked the restart of the season after more than two months from the last race due to a very long lockdown.
The NEWMAN Motorsport team from Cesena showed up at the track with a line-up consisting of 8 drivers divided into the categories Mini (Giacomo Pedrini, Thomas Baldassarri, Andrea Bruscino and Patrick Fraboni) and X30 Junior (Flavio Olivieri, Mattia Bucci, Matteo Luvisi and Emanuele Bruscino) .
All the drivers have completed the intense program by working on the package in championship configuration, being set to take part in the most prestigious national and international stages, from the WSK to the Italian ACI Karting Championship, to the world and European CIK FIA championship, in addition to the IAME Series.
The track will be the stage of the first official post-pandemic race, scheduled for the weekend of July 5 and valid for the third round of the WSK Super Master Series
“It has been two intense and very fruitful days. Being together on the track after so long was a bit like the first day of school. All the drivers worked very well, improving at each session and completing the program, posting consistent lap times. We had the answers we were looking for. This first test was important to regain the rhythm and train the body for speed and stress, after more than 3 months of forced break. An intense restart awaits us with numerous races and I was pleased to see many Italians on the track. It gives me hope for the start of the Italian championship, "said a satisfied Andrea Pedrini, team manager .
The team will return to the track at the South Garda karting in Lonato (BS) on Thursday and Friday in preparation for the fourth round of the WSK Super Master Series (14-18 July) as well as planning a test on the International Triscina track (Sicily), location of the first race of the Italian ACI Karting Championship on 9 August.
The NEWMAN Motorsport team has officially restarted the engines and is ready to start again.
