“A world-class event continues to lock in details”.

Buttoning up details for the first-ever United States Karting Grand Prix (USKGP), series officials are pleased to confirm the Road Racing class structure. With three days of racing fun, drivers will have multiple opportunities to compete in crossover classes on both the Sprint and Road Race programs while still able to enjoy a family-friendly race schedule.

"We have a ton of classes on the Road Race side of the program that should yield to some great racing action," explained Marty Casey." All of the partnering organizations involved got together to build the best class structure for the event possible while allowing drivers with different engine platforms to compete. From Sprint to Shifter, to Enduro classes, there is plenty of hardware on the line and we can’t wait until July.”

Set for the July 23-25 weekend at the Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele, Utah, TaG USA, TAG International, NCK Road Racing, Puget Sound Road Race Association, and the World Karting Association (WKA) classes will be offered. Additionally, local Utah Motorsports Campus classes will be available should entry numbers meet the required criteria.

“It is amazing when there is a common goal, how well organizations can work with one another,” explained WKA President Kevin Williams. “We had an idea and built upon it. We keep growing and the interest level is great. The event is solely one of many ideas that we have as a collective group that will give 100% back to the racer.”

“We worked hours to make sure we had a class, or multiple classes for each and every competitor,” explained Dave Larson. “The group that has come together to help put this race on is second to none and the work ethic is incredible. We look forward to getting to Utah in July.”

Casey continued, “We have just secured a legendary announcer that will help with the festivities on the event weekend and will announce him, or her, very soon. We are anxious, excited, and working hard to produce the best experience for the team and driver alike at the first annual United States Karting Grand Prix.”

While event details will be communicated in the coming weeks, the USKGP has also launched an event website at www.USKartingGrandPrix.com. Stay tuned for more information.
