So-Cal Rotax Challenge: California’s new Rotax series
TKART Staff
05 December 2013

California launches the So-Cal Rotax Challenge, the new championship by Full Throttle Karting dedicated to Rotax engines. The new series is the latest addition to the long list  of competitions “made in USA” that are making the Austrian brand one of the most popular in the North American karting scene.

Andy Seesemann, owner of Full Throttle Karting, is better known as the “boss” of the Challenge of the Americas (COTA), the legendary Rotax Championship that is held in the “hot states” (Arizona and California). Drawing inspiration from the new boost given to the Rotax world of the US by the latest edition of the Grand Finals just concluded in New Orleans, Andy has decided to organize a new Rotax Max Challenge centered in southern California. The So-Cal Rotax Challenge is born with two objectives: to promote the karting scene of the southern West Coast and to offer a Rotax program that will complement the winter calendar of the COTA and the other popular series held at the beginning of the year, the Florida Winter Tour RMC. The new So-Cal Challenge will, in fact, run over 8 rounds between March and October in the most renown circuits of California’s  southern tip.
