April 30, 2018 - Fresh off a double podium including one victory in the F4 at the Formula Race Productions event at the famed Road Atlanta, Floridian Arias Deukmedjian will get back in a kart this weekend in Phoenix. Taking on the IAME X30 Junior class at the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SpringNationals, Deukmedjian will compete under the watchful eye of Greg Bell and his Leading Edge Motorsports program.
"Arias is a great driver with a tremendous amount of talent. He has proven this in both a kart and formula car already this year and we will be striving for a race win in Phoenix," explained Bell, who is also the Owner of Supertuners Inc. "He had great speed at the WinterNationals in NOLA scoring one podium result as well as the fastest lap in an event where he drove from the back passing nearly twenty-five karts after an on track incident. I am confident that we can challenge for the double victory this coming weekend."
Utilizing a Leading Edge prepared and Woltjer Racing Engines powered X30 Junior chassis this weekend, the 13-year-old Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy student has been on a tear this year. Claiming race wins at the SKUSA Winter Series and AMR Motorplex Club program, he has also secured multiple podiums and fast lap honors at the SKUSA Pro Tour and Florida Winter Tour ROK Cup USA program and most recently in his formula car debut.
"I look forward to getting back in a kart this weekend and use what I learned from my formula car event a few weeks ago," explained Arias Deukmedjian. "I am comfortable driving at the limit and really enjoy Greg Bell and the people in his program. They definitely have a recipe for success."
Taking to the track on Thursday for unofficial testing, five official practice sessions will be run on Friday. Saturday and Sunday will see a pair of race days featuring timed qualifying and wheel-to-wheel action in heat races and main events.
