The FIA World Council has approved the 2014 CIK-FIA Calendar, confirming the dates of the World and European Championships. The new season will kick-off in May, as always, under the magistral organization of WSK Promotion.

The approval from Paris confirms the program of the new CIK-FIA season by WSK and the goal of rationalization that characterizes it. The first part of the season is dedicated to the Europeans of KFJ, KF, KZ and KZ2: 6 events, between May and Augost, across the Old Continent (Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Great Britain) with alternation of categories for a total of 4 rounds for non shifter classes and 3 rounds for gearbox classes. The season will close in Fall, with the hunt for the world titles, on a single round: the KF and KFJ World Championship in September in France and the  KZ World in Octotober in Italy, with the KZ2 International Super Cup KZ2.

Again in 2014, the young drivers of the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy (ages 13-15) will share the field with the "big": in the 2nd and 3rd round of the Europeans in Belgium and Germany and for the KZ World event in Italy.

The FIA also confirmed technical suppliers: Panta fuel/all classes and, for tires, Bridgestone-Prime for KZ-KZ2, Dunlop-Prime for KF, Vega-Option for KFJ, and Bridgestone-Option for the Academy.
