In the grand final of the WSK Super Master Series in Sarno, the Rookie chassis prevailed in the MINI Gr.3 category with Leonardo Gorski. The Racer 401 RR got on the podium in the KZ2, OK, and OKJ categories.

Our Tony Kart Racing Team achieved many results at the Napoli International Circuit, home of the last round of the WSK Super Master Series. Despite the rain affecting the racing weekend, our Tony Kart Rookie, together with the Vortex VTM engine, won the final of the MINI Gr.3 category and came close to the podium in MINI Gr.3 U10. The Tony Kart Racer 401 RR got two Top-3 results in the KZ2 and OK categories. They were powered respectively by the VTZ and VTS units of the "engine division" of OTK Kart Group. The “Racer” got on track in OKJ, powered by the Vortex VTJ.

In MINI Gr.3, after a complicated qualifying, Leonardo Gorski was forced to start from the back of the grid in the qualifying heats. The Pole stood out in the next three heats and, through a series of comebacks (combined with two fastest laps), he climbed up to tenth place in the intermediate ranking. Gorski improved his position in the ranking with a third place in the prefinal on Saturday morning, which was heavily affected by the rain. In the final, our colour bearer immediately took third place and remained behind the two leading drivers. Then, during the 4th lap, he climbed into second position. After an initial phase, Gorski took the lead in the race with two laps to go and got his first victory in the category. Oliver Sini found a place in the top ten, finished sixth in the prefinal and got the second-best time in the qualifying practices.

In KZ2, Tom Leuillet arrived in Sarno after the success achieved two weeks earlier in Franciacorta. After recording the best time in the second free practice session, the French driver got third place in the combined qualifying rankings and obtained a victory in one of the qualifying heats, to which he added two further Top-3 places. In the final on Saturday afternoon, Leuillet won the battle for second position and, thanks to this result, he finished third in the championship. Marijn Kremers also proved to be fast and competitive: he obtained a third place as the best result in the qualifying heats, won Prefinal B, setting the fastest lap, and came close to the Top 5 in the final. Two of our drivers were among the best ten of the last race of the weekend: Francesco Celenta, with a victory and a fastest lap in the qualifying heats, and Genis Civico, who closed two heats in the Top 3. Finally, Nicola Rossini easily entered Saturday's final and finished the race.

In OK, David Walther was one of the main protagonists of the category: he was the second fastest in qualifying and got a victory and two podiums in the subsequent qualifying heats. After being the fastest in the warm-up on Saturday morning, the Danish driver unfortunately withdrew from the prefinal, but he remained one of the candidates for success in the final. For all the 17 laps of the final race of the event, Walther competed for the leadership with his main rivals and crossed the finish line in second position, repeating the podium of Sarno of the last year during the second round of the WSK Euro Series. There were also significant results for Sebastiano Pavan, who was twice in the Top 3 in the qualifying heats and signed two fastest laps. The Italian driver got third place in the prefinal and closed the final on the edge of the podium, getting the points necessary to obtain the bronze medal in the championship. The Tony Kart Racing Team reached the Top 10 with three other drivers: Xiaoyu Sun, Xavier Avramides, and Tiziano Monza, all already driving in the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series in Valencia.

In OKJ, Scott Kin Lindblom opened the weekend with the second-best time in the qualifying practices, but a withdrawal in the second qualifying heat stopped the progress of the Swedish driver. In the main final, the Swedish driver recovered two positions compared to the start and finished in the top ten. Joel Pohjola and Sebastian Lehtimaki completed two comebacks of nine and five positions respectively, and they finished behind their teammate Lindblom, both in the Top 10. Ilie Tristan Crisan (with a third place in the heats), Scott Marsh, and Maria Germano Neto took part in the event, in preparation for the next events in the calendar.

In Mini Gr.3 U10, Henri Kumpen started well with a fourth place in his qualifying group and continued with a third place as the best result in the qualifying heats (in addition to a fastest lap) and a fourth place in Prefinal B on Saturday morning. The Belgian driver managed well the dry-wet conditions in the final and, after fighting for the lead in the first laps, went under the checkered flag in fourth position. Achille Rea achieved a victory and a third place in the qualifying heats, which resulted in a second place in the intermediate ranking of the category, and subsequently he triumphed in Prefinal B. After a difficult race start from the outer line, the Italian driver got a placement in the Top 10.

The Tony Kart Racing Team does not stop and is already on track this week for the opening stage of the Champions of the Future Euro Series (6th – 9th March) at the Kartódromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Valencia (Spain) with the drivers of the OK and OKJ categories.
