In the post-Covid era, the 7th Summer Trophy was held at South Garda Karting, an event also valid for the Vega Trophy for the MINI International category and for the first round of the historic KFA kart series, with a large participation in almost all the categories with a turnout of 140 drivers.

DE MARCO HAS THE UPPER HAND IN KZ2

Beautiful and hard-fought races, with final results far from obvious. As happened in KZ2, the most crowded category, with 40 drivers at the start. After dominating in the qualifying practice and in the heats, Manuel Cozzaglio on BirelArt-TM Racing of Vzeta Racing, in the Final had to surrender to the winning race pace of Davide De Marco, on KR-Iame of the Team Driver, who immediately went to the head and remained in command until the finish. Cozzaglio finished second, always in the wake of De Marco, while Michele Fontana finished in third position, also the author of an excellent race on CKR-TM Racing, who got on the podium after the disqualification for underweight inflicted on Christoph Hold on Maranello-TM Racing. Marco Tormen (Praga-TM Racing) and Fabrizio Rosati (Maranello-TM Racing) also involved in an accident. Alessandro Burlan is among the best, fourth on BirelArt-Vortex with Renda Motorsport, who finished ahead of David Trefilov (Maranello-TM Racing). Andrea Dalè (Nuova 3M / BirelArt-TM Racing) also did well, sixth ahead of Matteo Zanchi (Zanchi Motorsport / BirelArt-TM Racing), both winners of one heat. The top ten was completed by Cristopher Zani (BRM-TM Racing), Antonio Piccioni (DFM-TM Racing) and Nicola Rossini (Maranello-TM Racing).

LAMMERS TRIUMPHS IN THE INTERNATIONAL MINI

The presence in the MINI International Group 3 for the Vega Trophy was also very good, with 32 young authors of a great challenge at a high competitive level. To break the category was the Dutch René Lammers, with the Baby Race team on Parolin-TM Racing, who left Francesco Amendola (Energy-TM Racing) only the satisfaction of the pole position. After the second half in practice, Lammers won everything: heats, Prefinal and Final. In the Final Lammers remained in the lead chased by the Swiss Enea Frey on Tony Kart-TM Racing of the Gamoto team who finished in second place, while in third position the Asian Tiziano Monza placed on KR-TM Racing of the Team Driver. In the other best positions were classified Griffin Peebles (AV Racing / Parolin-TM Racing), Nando Welxelbaumer Baby Race / Parolin-TM Racing), Christian Romeo (Prague-Vortex), Riccardo Ferrari (Tony Kart-TM Racing), Oskar Poberaj (Jolly Team / Parolin-TM Racing), Emanuele Olivieri (BirelArt-TM Racing) and Filippo Parmeggiani (Scuderia Racing Kart Dubai / Tony Kart-TM Racing).

CRISTOFORO WINS MINI NATIONAL

In the Mini Nazionale Tommaso Cristoforo dominated over Energy-TM Racing, winner of both the Prefinal and the Final with a good margin in both races. In the Final Cristoforo preceded Matteo Melis and Giacomo Giusto, both on Energy-TM Racing of the 13m Stable. Anhtu Ranghetti (Tony Kart-TM Racing) placed fourth ahead of Edoardo Iacobuci SIMA Racing / Tony Kart-TM Racing).

LEOPARDI RECOVERS TO WIN IN THE ENTRY LEVEL

The smallest of the categories, the Entry Level, saw 9 young riders from 6 to 8 years old at the start, all determined and competitive. The surprise in the qualifying tests came from Sofia Povazhnala, on Parolin-LKE of the Baby Race, who proved to be very fast and author of the best time, then confirming herself as a winner in the Prefinal. However, Lorenzo Leopardi's response on Parolin-TM Racing arrived in the Final, who from the last position for not being able to start the Prefinal, quickly got back to the first position to go and win with more than 3 seconds of advantage on Sofia Povazhnala and on Angelo Stuppia (Parolin-LKE). Giada Vanigioli (Parolin-TM Racing) and Achille Perotti (CRG-Iame) finished in fourth and fifth positions more detached.

IN KZN VICTORIES GO TO LUCINI (JUNIOR), PAGANI (UNDER), ZANONI (OVER)

There were 37 drivers overall in the KZ Nazione, and the Junior with a presence of 19 drivers offered a good show. Here to win the Final was Riccardo Lucini (TB Kart-TM Racing), while for the second place Denis Tuia (Vzeta Racing / BirelArt-TM Racing) had the best who finished ahead of Andrea Pastorino (BirelArt-TM Racing) and Federico Squaranti (WK Corse / Tony Kart-Vortex). Samuele Marchetti (Prague-TM Racing) finished fifth ahead of Mattia Giannini (Oracle / Maranello-TM Racing).

In KZN Under he dominated Marco Pagani (Parolin-TM Racing), with Irnerio Cittadini (Formula K-TM Racing) in second place and Luciano Medeghini (VRK-TM Racing) in third after the penalties imposed on Michael Dalle Stelle (Maranello-TM Racing) and Filippo Golin (Intrepid-TM Racing).

In KZN Over the success went to Alessandro Zanoni (Kubica-TM Racing) who has always led in the head, while in the last bars Diego De Palma (Oberon-TM Racing) has conquered the second place ahead of Lorenzo Nespoli (BirelArt-TM Racing ). In a race contact Fabio Danti (VRK-TM Racing) in the last lap lost second place and finished eighth, Andrea Tonoli (Intrepid-TM Racing) slipped sixth for a penalty.

LUCA CORBERI DOMINATES IN KFA

In the first round of the KFA the show was not lacking, with Luca Corberi (Tony Kart-Vortex) who finally agreed on dominating the Final, in front of an excellent Tino Donadei (Top Kart-Iame) in comeback and Davide Cattelani (Tony Kart-Iame). Davide Aglieri (Tony Kart-Iame) was also among the most competitive, fourth after a good recovery, ahead of Alberto Barbi (BRM-ATK) and Vincenzo Campo (PCR-PCR).
