The third round of the Easykart Trophy gave us another day of great sport: our drivers, in fact, made us experience incredible emotions, starting from the qualifying sessions.
At the end of the race day on the International Circuit of Viterbo, the winners were: Andrii Kruglyk (Easykart 60), Lorenzo Pignanelli (Easykart 100), Alessio Guazzaroni (Easykart 125), Marco Sertore (Easykart 125 Senior) and Marco Maestranzi (BMB Challenge).
Easykart 60: second victory of the season for Andrii Kruglyk
On the Lazio circuit, Kruglyk took the second consecutive success: the Ukrainian driver lined up everyone starting from qualifying thanks to a strong pole position, to then continue with P1 in the Sprint Race and with the triumph in the Final. Behind him a great duel between the contenders for the podium: in the end it was Gioele Girardello who came out on top, splendid second, while David Davoli had to "settle" for third place. Fourth place for Marco Pozzoni, fifth for Lillian Rolencova.
Easykart 100: first success for Lorenzo Pignanelli
“WHAT A RACE” the British would say. A thrilling final with more than ten drivers fighting for the podium, a race that will remain in the Easykart annals for its intensity, the continuous overtakes and the uncertain result until the last laps. The winner was Lorenzo Pignanelli, taking his first victory in Easykart, second place for Gabriel Cuoco and third for Jaroslav Nitsche, winner of the Sprint Race. Vilmos Willisits and Pietro Santese joined the awards ceremony as fourth and fifth place finishers. First career pole for Valentino Gaggia, the fastest in qualifying.
Easykart 125: another success for Alessio Guazzaroni
After a day of hard-fought races, Alessio Guazzaroni took his second consecutive victory in the Final: after missing pole position by 53 thousandths in favor of Marco Pirovano, who took his first ever pole position, Guazzaroni had to sweat the famous seven shirts both in the Sprint Race (won by just over seven tenths) and in the Final. In second place Pirovano, third Francesco Ruga.
Easykart 125 Senior: Marco Sertore wins!
Marco Sertore brought home success in the category dedicated to the Senior, after having competed at the top also in the absolute category: tenth overall in qualifying, Marco finished eighth in the Sprint Race and had the potential to finish on top also in the Final, before beiong relegated to 13th place due to a 5" penalty. Great battle also for the other two positions of the Senior podium with Roman Roubicek second and Giovanni Provenzano third.
BMB Challenge: Marco Maestranzi's first triumph of the season
After missing the Franciacorta round, Marco Maestranzi returned to the Easykart paddock, achieving success for the first time this year: after winning the Sprint Race, Maestranzi was unreachable for everyone, dominating for all 16 laps of the Final.
Behind him, great uncertainty and side-by-side struggles for the other two positions on the podium: in the end it was Daniele D' Urso, author of pole in qualifying, and Andrea Calabrese, back on the podium after P1 in Jesolo.
Easykart 60 Academy: the growth of baby drivers continues
Another day to study and grow for the youngest members of the Academy: in addition to the usual briefing with instructor Sabino De Castro, the "Academini" had the opportunity to take to the track like the drivers of the other categories, "seizing the moment” to learn for the profession of drivers and to have fun all together.
Stay racing, stay happy… and think Easy!
