30 November 2022

[translated with Google]

A last appointment of the 2022 Easykart season, which saw numbers in general growth up to 178 drivers registered at the International Grand Final last October. In addition to the great competition on the track and the first taste of what 2023 will be like, the Winter Trophy on the Cremona Circuit represented a last opportunity to bring together, once again, the Easykart paddock.

The winners of the 2022 edition of the Winter Trophy were: Daniele D'Urso (BMB Challenge), Riccardo Pollastri (Easykart 125), Andrii Kruglyk (Easykart 60) and Alex Brunner (Easykart 100).

BMB Challenge: second seasonal success for Daniele D'Urso

After proclaiming himself international vice-champion and finishing third overall in the Italian Trophy, Daniele D'Urso (VRK Motorsport) reconfirmed himself among the fastest also in the Winter Trophy: after missing out on pole position by 24 thousandths, D'Urso made up for it by taking the success in the Sprint Race and dominating for all the laps of the Final. Behind him an excellent Gabriel Moretto, reigning champion of the 100 Easykart and author of the pole position on his debut in BMB, and Valentino Baracco - at the top throughout the season.

Easykart 125: Riccardo Pollastri triumphs after an exciting final

Riccardo Pollastri (CKC) is the latest winner of an extraordinary season for the 125 class, a 2022 that saw seven different winners out of eight rounds between the Italian trophy and the international final. Pollastri returned to success after Castelletto's round and he did so at the end of an uncertain race until the end, with the first three to cross the finish line enclosed within the space of just 642 thousandths: Pollastri preceded Federico Malvestiti, excellent second, and Andrea Sorbello - third at the end of a fantastic comeback from seventh place.

Easykart 60: another victory for Andrii Kruglyk

A tsunami of victories for Andrii Kruglyk (Tsunami RT) in his first full season in Easykart with seven triumphs, a second and a third place that allowed him to proclaim himself champion of the Easykart Trophy, international champion and now winner of the Winter Trophy.

On the last Race Day of the year, Andrii won another Grand Chelem with pole position, victory in the Sprint Race and in the Final, the latter dominated from the first to the last lap. Behind him, however, the duel raged to win the other two steps of the podium with David Davoli second and Alessandro Nanni third. Fourth place for Nicolas Bortoli, fifth for Leonardo Lanza.

Easykart 60 Academy: baby drivers also protagonists at the Winter Trophy

The future superstars of the 60 Easykart also took to the track in Cremona with the traditional race format that sees the drivers participate in the meeting with the instructor Sabino De Castro and in the race "phases". A race day of "celebration" on the track, fun in the paddock and a day that ended with the prize giving on the podium for all the participants.

Easykart 100: third success for Alex Brunner

Alex Brunner (Frasnelli Kart) conquered his third success this season, which he finished in second place in the Italian trophy, contending the title with the champion Moretto until the end.

In the last round of the season, Brunner set the best time in qualifying, while in the Sprint Race he had to settle for second position thanks to a very fast Valentino Gaggia, winner after an extraordinary overtake in the last corners of the last lap. Instead, there was no story in the Final, with Brunner taking the victory with a lead of over 2"3 over David Ostapenko and 2"5 over Gaggia. Fourth place for Giulio Mazzolini, fifth for Gabriel Cuoco.

With the Winter Trophy, the checkered flag has dropped on the 2022 Easykart track season, but preparations for 2023 are already starting: stay tuned to find out all the news for next year and the video interviews that will be published on our social platforms during winter.
