HOT NEWS - TKART --
At the end of the day we can fortunately say nobody reported serious injuries this time around. During one of the early laps of the last KZ2 heat a pack of ten drivers had a serious pile up at the Ferrari bend, smashing into the barriers outside of the track.
The frightening accident was caused by a water leak from a participant's kart. the outcome was inevitable: red flag and race suspension. Go on TKART'S Facebook page and watch the video shot a few seconds before the flag waved. And stay tuned for an insder's look on the next issue of TKART Digital magazine.
Once fear of injuries was put aside, the KZ2 battle started anew. In the end the heat winner was again Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart/Vortex), who had already swept the previous races. His teammate Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart/Vortex) took 2nd place, after closing third and tenth in the other two heats. Jonathan Thonon (Praga/Parilla) rounded off the top 3 of this last heat, completing his come-back from heat 1: here a technical issue kept him out of the games and in heat 2 he managed a mad 17-position ascent all the way to 8th. round 1 final winner and current points leader Ben Hanley (ART GP/TM) will be starting from front row tomorrow next to Ardigò, after closing twice behind him in the heats.

Round 1 winner Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart/TM) was penalized for a race contact with Karol Basz (Tony Kart/Vortex) and will be starting from row 2, thanks to two 3rd place finishes. The day produced good results also for Martijn Van Leeuwen (Zanardi/Parilla) and the Russian Egor Stupenkov (Energy/TM), who again, like last weekend, was capable of incredible recoveries: 18th in the qualifyings and now in the top spots going into the finals.
