Over a month after the last stage of the WSK Open Series in Muro Leccese, WSK Promotion returns to the track at the Franciacorta Karting Track in Castrezzato (Italy) for Round 1 of the WSK Euro Series. The weekend starts with a good turnout of drivers in all six main categories: 47 in MINI Gr.3 U10, 41 in MINI Gr.3, 40 in OKN-J, 9 in OK-N, 66 in OKJ and 42 in OK.
The usual qualifications took place on Friday, before continuing with the first qualifying heats, which will continue throughout Saturday.
OK: first pole position for Lindblom

- In the third race among the Seniors, Scott Kin Lindblom (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME) took pole position in qualifying. The Swede set a time of 46.201 seconds in group 2 and precedes Kai Rillaerts (Sodikart – Sodikart – TM Kart) in the standings, author of a time reference of 46.504 seconds.
- David Cosma Cristofor (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME) took third position, while Zac Drummond (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart) took fourth. The host Ludovico Busso (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM Kart) did well, fifth. Andy Consani (Sodikart – Sodikart – TM Kart) is sixth.
- After the unfortunate weekend in Slovakia for the FIA Karting European Championship, Ean Eyckmans (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM Kart) starts in the right direction with seventh place, ahead of Lewis Wherrell (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), eighth .
- Closing out the top-10 are Andrea Dupé (Prema Racing – KR – IAME) and Bernardo Bernoldi (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), ninth and tenth respectively. Vivek Kanthan (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart) further behind, 13th.
OKJ: four Britons in command, led by Roman Kamyab

- After the good podium obtained last week in Slovakia in the FIA Karting European Championship, Roman Kamyab (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN – TM Kart) recorded the pole position of 47.652 seconds in qualifying. Jack Iliffe (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart) is the fastest in group 2, but second overall in 47.753 seconds.
- The British patrol leading the qualifying continues with Devin Walz (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), third, and Jesse Phillips (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN – TM Kart), fourth. Nicklas Schaufler (DPK Racing – KR – IAME) is fifth, followed by Filippo Sala (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN – TM Kart), sixth, and Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart), seventh.
- Also finding space in the top-10 are Arata Endo (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – TM Kart), eighth, Jarrett Clark (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), ninth, and Borys Lyzen (Sodikart – Sodikart – TM Kart), tenth.
- Further back are Dean Hoogendoorn (AKM Motorsport – KR – IAME), 19th, and the reigning world champion Dries Van Langendonck (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), 26th. On the podium in Sarno during the WSK Super Master Series, Lev Krutogolov (Borsch Racing – Tony Kart – IAME) is 41st.
OK-N: Maksymilian Rafalik is the fastest

- Maksymilian Rafalik (KRZ Motorsport – KR – TM Kart) stood out in Friday morning's qualifying with a time of 47.405 seconds, ahead of Nicolas Marchesi (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME), the winner of the Franciacorta round of the WSK Open Series , of just 0.032 seconds.
- Juliusz Ociepa (Novalux – Lenzokart – LKE) is third in the standings, followed by Lamberto Ferrari (FK Motorsport – IPK – TM Kart), champion of the 2023 WSK Final Cup, in fourth place and by Bati Ege Yildirim (Modena Kart – Parolin – TM Kart), champion of the WSK Euro Series 2023, in fifth.
OKN-J: Alex Molota flies to pole position

- Alex Molota (Firefly Racing Team – Gillard – TM Kart) immediately takes the lead in the category. The Slovakian is in pole position with a time of 47.913 seconds and beats the competition from Sebastian Eskandari-Marandi (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – Vortex), second in the combined classification.
- At the top we also find Lyuboslav Ruykov (Zanchi Motorsport – Tony Kart – TM Kart), third, and Lucas Bonhomme (Jana Racing – Tony Kart – Vortex), fourth. Fifth place for Billy Jordan Van Staveren (Modena Kart – Parolin – TM Kart).
MINI Gr.3: Daniel Miron Lorente is good and lucky

- What happened in group 1 of qualifying was sensational: a total of 17 drivers did not record any valid times and the one who took advantage of it was, first of all, Gergo Buzas (BRT – Alonso Kart – IAME). However, the Romanian is second in the general classification, behind poleman Daniel Miron Lorente (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME), first in group 2 with a time of 53.463.
- As a result of the combined ranking, followed by Gioele Girardello (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin – TM Kart), third, Olivier Chasse (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), fourth, Santiago Diaz de la Vega (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME), fifth, and Lourenco Villo Amaro (Gamoto – EKS – TM Kart), sixth.
- It should be noted that the ranking positions of the timeless riders in the first group were decided by draw.
MINI Gr.3 U10: challenge between Mason Robertson and David Moscardi

- In the qualifying challenge, Mason Robertson (Babyrace Driver Academy – Parolin – IAME) emerged at the top with the best time of 53.565 set in group 1. David Moscardi (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME), first in group 2, placed second.
- Antonio Ianni (CRG Racing Team – TGroup – TM Kart) and Niccolò Perico (Energy Corse – Energy Corse – TM Kart) follow in third and fourth place respectively. Mark Loomets (Energy Corse – Energy Corse – TM Kart) and Senn Lindeman (Birel Art Racing – Birel Art – TM Kart) are fifth and sixth.
