OK: A stellar debut for Niklas Schaufler

Tyres: LeCont

  • Niklas Schaufler (DPK Racing – KR – IAME) has already demonstrated his potential on several occasions, but today he wanted to underline his skills even more clearly. After winning both the WSK Super Master Series and the WSK Champions Cup in the OKJ category, the young driver supported by Red Bull scored a 56.595 and thus obtained the pole position, signing in the best possible way his debut in the premier class of single-speed karting.
  • Another driver of the Red Bull Junior Team is also ready for the appointment with the top positions: Scott Kin Lindblom (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME). The dominator of the first round in Castrezzato and current leader of the championship stops the clock just over a tenth from the Austrian rookie to secure second place.
  • Elliot Kaczynski (Ward Racing – Tony Kart – TM Kart) highlights his skills, skillfully earning third place.
  • Fourth place goes to another excellent rookie in Oliver Kinnmark (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), who starts his adventure in the KR Motorsport team on the right foot.
  • A positive qualifying also for Bernardo Bernoldi (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), fifth, and Jensen Burnett (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME), sixth on his OK debut in a WSK competition and able to bring a fifth KR chassis into the top six positions.

Tyres: Vega

  • Maxim Bobreshov (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME) decides to amaze the paddock on his OKJ debut in a WSK competition. The young rookie prints a 58.588 in group 2, which earns him the overall pole position.

In his first appearance in OKJ in a WSK competition after winning the bronze medal in the WSK Champions Cup at the start of the season in the MINI Gr.3 category, the American driver sets the exact same time as Bobreshov and finds himself behind because his second best time reference is slower than that of his teammate. In his first appearance with the Energy Corse colours, the Panamanian almost takes pole position and takes fifth place in the overall standings.
  • Building on the third place he earned in the first round at Castrezzato, Filippo Sala (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart – TM Kart) is the fastest in group 1 thanks to a 59.084. • Closing the top ten are Mariano Lopez (Fusion Motorsport – KR – IAME), seventh overall in his first appearance with the Fusion Motorsport team after obtaining the bronze medal in last year’s WSK Final Cup in the MINI Gr.3 category, the reigning WSK Final Cup champion in the MINI Gr.3 category Devin Walz (Forza Racing – Exprit – TM Kart), eighth, Nagy Roland (DPK Racing – KR – IAME), ninth, and Turner Brown (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart – TM Kart), tenth in his debut in OKJ in a WSK competition.
  • Qualifying slightly below expectations for the WSK Super Cup champion and WSK Open Series champion in the OKN-J category Ilia Berezkin (Monster K Factory Team – CRG – TM Kart), 15th overall, the reigning WSK Euro Series vice-champion in the OKN-J category and last year’s Road to the OK-N World Cup champion in the same class Jesse Phillips (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart – TM Kart), 16th, and the reigning vice-champion of both the WSK Euro Series and the WSK Champions Cup from earlier this year in the MINI Gr.3 category and reigning WSK Super Master Series champion in the same class William Calleja (Ricky Flynn Motorsport – LN Kart – TM Kart), 19th in his first appearance with the Ricky Flynn Motorsport team.
  • Qualifying was also more complicated than expected for the reigning champion of the WSK Final Cup and the WSK Euro Series in the OKN-J category and Williams Racing Driver Academy driver Dean Hoogendoorn (KR Motorsport – KR – IAME), 27th in the general classification after finishing the WSK Super Master Series in third place.

  • Qualifying was also more complicated than expected for Alex Molota (Firefly Racing Team – Gillard – TM Kart), 13th overall after earning second place in both the WSK Super Master Series OKN-J (sub judice classification) and the WSK Champions Cup at the start of the season, Giacomo Giusto (Modena Kart – Parolin – TM Kart), 16th after climbing onto the third step of the podium in the first round OKN-J, and Valerio Viapiana (Team Driver Racing Kart – KR – IAME), 17th and fresh from second place in the WSK Super Cup OKN-J as well as third in the WSK Super Master Series (ranking sub judice).
