01 July 2020

Today's Heats decreed the leaders of the Qualifying Heats' standings of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series. The event taking place in Adria will continue tomorrow with the 4th round qualifying.

An action-packed day that just ended at the Adria Karting Raceway where all the remaining Heats that defined the starting grid of the Pre Finals of the third round of the WSK Super Master Series were run. Excluding some misfortunes for some of the competitors, the values that emerged yesterday remained unchanged.

Rather, it will be interesting to see if and how they will change over the next few days, given that tomorrow, contrary to how WSK has accustomed us, instead of the Pre-Finals of the third round, the drivers will take to the track for the qualifications of the 4th round and the relative round of batteries.

MINI: Dmitry Matveev is the most consistent and takes the lead

  • Dmitry Matveev (Energy Corse - Energy Corse - TM Racing), who qualified 4th yesterday, is today atop of the ranking of the Qualifying Heats thanks to three wins and a fourth place. His most direct opponents Jan Przyrowsky (AV Racing - Parolin - TM Racing) and Kean Nakamura Berta (Team Driver Racing Kart - KR - IAME) suffered a withdrawal each, which made both of them lose positions.

  • That means that Peebles Griffin (AV Racing - Parolin TM Racing) with only one victory, is 2nd behind Matveev and ahead of Rene Lammers (Baby Race Driver Academy - Parolin - TM Racing)

  • Down from the podium, we find Mark Kastelic (Team Driver Racing Kart - KR - TM Racing) despite one victory in hand. Lenn Kijs (Team Driver racing Kart - KR - TM Racing) and Maciej Gladysz (Parolin Racing Kart - Parolin - TM Racing) 5th and 6th instead precede Jan Przyrowsky whose two wins are spoiled by a 19th place.

  • Behind the Pole, the two teammates Kilian Josseron (Team Driver Racing Kart - KR - IAME) and Kean Nakamura Berta, with the latter that could have been the star of the day with 3 wins if it wasn't for an unfortunate 22nd place.

  • Tiziano Monza (Team Driver Racing Kart - KR - TM Racing) closes the Top-10 while Davide Bottaro (AV Racing - Parolin - TM Racing), yesterday qualified in 2nd place, today is 16th, behind Nando Weixelbaumer (Baby Race Driver Academy - Parolin TM Racing), third yesterday.

  • Perfect day for Brando Badoer (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) who takes all the 4 available victories with 3 best laps, and thus becoming the favorite for the final victory. The Italian also won the direct clash with the Englishman Arvid Lindblad (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), the leader of the championship standings after 2 races and direct opponent of the Italian so far.

  • The Englishman , however, is only sixth in the ranking, due to the last position scored in the last heat. Karol Pasiewicz (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), author of 2 victories, and Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (Birel ART Racing - RK TM Racing), also victorious in one heat, took advantage of his misfortune.

  • Ugo Ugochukwu (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) also suffered a fate to similar to Lindblad: he's bee constantly at the sharp end of the field, with a victory and a fast lap, until the last heat in which he finished 17th . The American, in the end, takes the seventh spot.

Tires: Bridgestone

  • 3 wins out of 3 and 3 best lap: this is what Nikita Bedrin (Ward racing - Tony Kart - Vortex), who had already shown how much he likes the Adria Karting Raceway at the beginning of the season, brings home from today.

  • Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) was the only one able  to keep up with the Russian but pays from the latter just the second place remedied in the direct clash in the AB Heat.

  • In third place, with a victory, we find Rafael Camara (Forza Racing - Exprit - TM Racing) who precedes the two compatriots Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), also the author of a fast lap, and Taylor Barnard ( Rosberg Racing Academy - KR - IAME)

  • From sixth position, we find, in order Luigi Coluccio (Kosmic Kart Racing Department - Kosmic -Vortex), Charlie Wurz (Exprit Racing Team - Exprit - Vortex), Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) and Levente Revesz (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME). Oliver Gray (Leclerc By Lennox Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) closes the top-10.

  • It was a round of Heats with highs and lows, however, for some of the drivers at the forefront of qualifying, such as Nicolò Cuman (BM Karting Team - Parolin - IAME) and Jamie Day (Leclerc By Lennox Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) who closed respectively in 15th and 33th place.

  • Lorenzo Travisanutto (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), 12th, closes out of the top ten while it was a decidedly opaque day for Harry Thompson (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), only 19th and Enzo Trulli (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), 36th
