WSK Super Master Series rd 4, Lonato: KZ2 Final – Denner impregnable in the final, Kremers champion
Yanek Sterzel
25 April 2021

Tires: Vega

  • Emilien Denner (Intrepid Driver Program - Intrepid - TM Racing) wins the KZ2 final starting from pole. The Frenchman is also unattainable for Marijn Kremers (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) who comes behind him and becomes the 2021 WSK Super Master Series champion despite one less race.

  • Third step of the podium for Stan Pex (KR Motorsport - KR - TM Racing) who realizes a fantastic performance. The Dutchman, even 18th in qualifying, heats after heats and in the pre-final finds his rhythm and in the final he is perhaps the fastest of all (also his fastest lap of the race) thus recovering from seventh position to the podium.

  • Fourth position for Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart - Sodikart - TM Racing) followed by his compatriot, reigning world champion, Jeremy Iglesias (CRG Racing Team - CRG - TM Racing).

  • Sixth is Giuseppe Palomba (Birel Art Racing - Birel Art - TM Racing) who precedes a wild Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), seventh. The Finn is involved in the accident at the start which forces him to display the red flag. The Tony Kart Racing Team mechanics manage to carry out an emergency repair and restart Puhakka at the restart, allowing him to recover 11 positions from the starting grid.

  • Only eighth was Juho Valtanen (KR Motorsport - KR - TM Racing) who played the title here but had to settle for second place in the championship ahead of Viktor Gustavsson (Leclerc by Lennox Racing - Birel Art - TM Racing), third, who reached him behind him also in the final due to the 5 second penalty for nose in incorrect position which makes him pass from fourth to ninth position.

  • Andrea Dalè (Nuova 3M - CRG - TM Racing) closes the top ten ahead of Senna Van Walstijn (Sodikart - Sodikart - TM Racing), penalized by 5 seconds.

  • On the other hand, one of the protagonists of this weekend, Francesco Celenta (Parolin Motorsport - Parolin - TM Racing) retired. Even worse goes to Tom Leuillet (Praga Racing Team - Prague - IAME) victim of the accident at the start that requires the display of the red flag: the Frenchman probably reports fractures.
