From the end of January to mid-March, the last few weeks have been pulsating with the rhythm of the WSK Super Master Series, offering international karting a magnificent showcase. Full grids, quality circuits, exciting races and brilliant champions: all the ingredients were there for great sporting moments. LeCont is pleased and proud to have played a part in the success of this competition, while contributing its tyre expertise, its high technology and its professionalism for the drivers in the OK category.
LeCont masters all conditions
From La Conca to Viterbo, via Sarno, Lonato and Franciacorta, the drivers and teams had to cope with diverse and changing weather conditions during the five rounds of the 2025 WSK Super Master Series. In all cases, they were able to rely on the performance of LeCont tyres. In OK, the Italian tyres ensured perfect fairness between all the participants thanks to competitive and consistent products throughout the meeting.
Lap times that demonstrate LeCont's performance
Produced in the ultra-modern Rovereto factory, LeCont "prime" tyres once again proved capable of improving their efficiency on all circuits:
- At La Conca, the absolute event record was set by an OK kart on LeCont tyres: 45"970 at an average speed of 97.89 km/h, faster than KZ2!
- At Sarno, the fastest time set in 2024 of 56"402 was bettered by Christian Costoya with 56"395 at an average speed of 106.61 km/h.
- At Lonato, the 2024 WSK Super Master Series recorded a lap time of 46"478. A year later, that time had dropped to 46"153.
- At Franciacorta, the 2023 FIA Karting World Championship record was 47"294. Roman Kamyab set 46"154 in 2025 with LeCont tyres.
- At Viterbo, the drivers lacked a benchmark, as this was the first major international event in OK. The drivers were able to discover this magnificent complex and its interesting 1,300-metre track. The new OK circuit record was set by Christian Costoya in 51"705.
Four different winners, Van Langendonck Champion
Once again, the WSK Super Master Series proved to be thrilling right to the end. Britain's Zac Drummond opened the season victoriously at La Conca. Italy's Filippo Sala won the battle of Sarno, before Drummond repeated the trick at Lonato. Spaniard Christian Costoya reignited the suspense of the series by winning in Franciacorta. On a tricky track at Viterbo, with persistent humidity, the drivers experienced a difficult Final with their slicks. In these conditions, Czech driver Jindrich Pesl crossed the finish line victorious. In all, no fewer than eight drivers representing seven different teams took the honours on the podium. Belgium's Dries Van Langendonck was very consistent every time he scored points (after the Qualifying Heats, in the Prefinals and in each of the five Finals), taking the gold medal with his four podium finishes.
LeCont congratulates all the drivers who raced on LeCont tyres in this series, their teams, the organising circuits and WSK Promotion for its confidence.
