Two-time Formula One World Champion Fernando Alonso led his team FA Racing to pole position to start the fourth and final round of the 2019 Dubai Kartdrome Endurance Championship Powered by Motorsport Wheels on Friday (13 December).

FA Racing (#14), with drivers Fernando Alonso, Pedro de le Rosa, Alberto Albilares and Ángel Burgueño, beat out 32 other teams in qualifying after Alonso topped the timing screens with a best lap time of 1:16.360 on the Monaco circuit configuration at Dubai Kartdrome in the final minutes of qualifying.

The all-Spanish squad of motorsport legends lined up on pole ahead of the Russian outfit of F1 Karting Moscow-Parovoz RT (#2) in second position on the grid.

Remarkably, the local championship contenders were left behind the Spanish and Russian outsiders, with Team Emirates (#9) and Emirates Racing (#8) lining up in third and fourth, while defending champion Bin Drai Karting Team (#21) could only muster P5.
