BKC Supports the Tillotson T4 UK Academy, Creating a Clear Pathway from Rental Karting to Owner-Driver Racing

The British Kart Championships (BKC) is proud to support the Tillotson T4 UK Academy, a driver development programme designed to provide a clear and structured pathway for drivers transitioning from rental karting into owner-driver competition.

The Tillotson T4 UK Academy is a supported arrive-and-drive programme that allows drivers to compete in selected British Kart Championship and Motorsport UK club events without the initial cost and complexity of purchasing and running their own kart. The programme is aimed at drivers looking to take the next step into competitive karting in a professional and supportive environment.

The Academy provides a limited number of places in both T4 Junior and T4 Senior categories. Drivers accepted onto the programme receive a full supported race package including kart and trolley hire, race tyres, fuel, and dedicated awning space, allowing competitors to focus entirely on driving and development throughout the race weekend.

The programme will run across selected events during the 2026 season, including Fulbeck Kart Club, PF International, Rissington Kart Club, and Clay Pigeon Raceway, providing drivers with the opportunity to gain experience at some of the UK’s leading circuits while competing within the Tillotson T4 racing platform.

The Tillotson T4 UK Academy forms part of the wider Tillotson T4 driver pathway, which provides a progression route from first laps in karting through to national and international competition, including events such as the T4 Nations Cup, T4 Euro Cup, T4 Asia Cup, and T4 Americas Cup.

BKC’s support of the Tillotson T4 UK Academy represents an important step in strengthening the driver development ladder in the UK, creating a structured, supported, and cost-effective route into owner-driver karting.
