The classifications of the Italian ACI Karting Championship are quite interesting ahead of the fourth round of the championship that will take place in Adria on July 28th after the round of Sarno.
Categories KZ2, 60 Mini, X30 Junior and Senior, Rok Junior and Senior will be present in Adria. The title of the two Rok categories will be decided on this occasion as this will be the third and closing round. KZN Under and Over will get back on track in Val Vibrata for the season closer on September 1st.
Cunati still leading KZ2, but by just 16 points on Palomba
In KZ2, the victory of Giuseppe Palomba (Croc-Tm) in Sarno’s race-1 and his second place in race-2 compacted considerably the classification. This goes also down to Simone Cunati’s retirement (CRG-Tm) in race-1 and his 11th place in race-2, and Francesco Iacovacci’s retirement (Maranello-Tm) in race-2, as the latter could not end the weekend on a high after ending race-1 in P4. Cunati kept the lead of the standings but Palomba closed in in P2 16 points short of him, while Iacovacci is third with a 27 points gap to the top. Leonardo Marseglia (BirelArt-Tm) also obtained a lot of points taking P5 in race-1 and winning race-2, as did Davide De Marco (KR-Tm), who claimed two podiums.
KZ2 classification: 1. Cunati points 113; 2. Palomba 97; 3. Iacovacci 86; 4. Marseglia 72; 5. De Marco 69; 6. Tormen 68; 7. Irlando and Zani 63; 9. Albanese 54; 10. Baldi and Forè 35.
Powell back on top of 60 Mini
Alex Powell (Energy-Tm) and Manuel Scognamiglio (Tony Kart-Tm) have been dominating the round of Sarno in 60 Mini. The first won, in fact, race-1 and the latter race-2. Classification leader from Great Britain William Macintyre (Parolin-Tm) had to settle for two placings this time and lost the lead of the standings that went back to Powell. The latter reached 126 points totalling 11 more than Macintyre. Scognamiglio managed to climb up to P3 standing 14 points short of the lead. Andrea Filaferro (Tony Kart-Tm) is also close to the top 3 at 90 points.

Cesari managed to keep P2, while Simonetti slipped down to P4 as he was also overtaken by Pastorino.

Profico dominating KZN Over
Roberto Profico (Tony Kart-Tm) has strong chances in the KZN Over title campaign after the double win scored in Sarno. This double win and the victory in Siena confirmed the speed of Profico that this year seems to be heading towards the victory of the championship that he could not grab off Claudio Tempesti and Cristian Griggio’s hands respectively in 2017 and 2018.
KZN Over classification: 1. Profico points 118; 2. Torsellini 84; 3. Nalon 82; 4. Pagani 70; 5. Ruschioni 50; 6. Melas 38; 7. Tempesti 32; 8. Griggio 31; 9. Ferretti 30; 10. Costantini 15.
Bertuca confirms his lead inX30 Junior
Cristian Bertuca (BirelArt-Iame) strengthened his lead in Sarno winning race-2 and taking the fourth place in race-1. These two results allowed him to gain a good margin on the second in the classification, who is reigning champion Francesco Pulito (KR-Iame) 32 points adrift. The category is nevertheless very hard-fought and saw several protagonists coming to the fore.
X30 Junior classification: 1. Bertuca points 150; 2. Pulito 118; 3. Paparo 91; 4. Gallo 70; 5. Elkin 61; 6. Pujatti 55; 7. Cenedese 52; 8. Kucharczyk 46; 9. Trulli 40; 10. Megna 36.
Villa and Caglioni ready for the fight in X30 Senior
The very strong start to the X30 Senior campaign of Edoardo Ludovico Villa (TB Kart-Iame) in Castelletto di Branduzzo and Siena slowed down in Sarno. Luigi Coluccio (BirelArt-Iame) got the most of it winning race-1, while Leonardo Caglioni (KR-Iame) won race-2. Villa managed anyway to collect some points for the championship thanks to the fourth place in race-1 and the second in race-2, retaining a good margin of 30 points on Caglioni, who is his nearest rival.
X30 Senior classification: 1. Villa points 150; 2. Caglioni 120; 3. Carenini 86; 4. Baracco and Comanducci 72; 6. Fornaroli 70; 7. Ingolfo 69; 8. Coluccio 57; 9. Russo 42; 10. Scognamiglio 33.
Ragone heading towards the Rok Junior title
Rok Junior saw Pietro Ragone (Tony Kart-Vortex) dominating the four finals in Castelletto di Branduzzo and Sarno. Despite taking four wins in four finals, he only enjoys a 27 points lead due to the fact that points are halved as less than 15 drivers were present. The champion will be named in Adria.
Rok Junior classification: 1. Ragone 66 points, 2. Colombo 39; 3. Simion and Zaffarano 36; 5. De Palo 26; 6. Chiurato and Donno 20,5; 8. Ladina 11; 9. Maynes 10,5.

David Locatelli (Tony Kart-Vortex) is still leading the pack, but his gap was narrowed to 5 points only as Giorgio Molinari (Exprit-Vortex) claimed second in race-1 and won race-2 in Sarno. The title fight still includes also Leonardo Moncini (Tony Kart-Vortex) who secured two P3s in Sarno and Federico Biagioli (Exprit-Vortex) who is currently fourth thanks to the victory in race-1 and the second place in race-2.
