Emme Racing celebrated a major success at the 37th edition of the Andrea Margutti Trophy, held at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato del Garda, one of the most prestigious and competitive events in international karting.
During a weekend that brought together hundreds of drivers from around the world, the team secured an outstanding victory in the OK-N Junior category with Gioele Carrer, who delivered a strong and dominant performance throughout the event.
A strong weekend for Carrer
After setting third fastest overall in qualifying, Carrer built his result with consistent performances in the qualifying heats:
- Heat 1 – P3
- Heat 2 – P1
- Heat 3 (rain) – P1 with an impressive 14-second gap
The wet heat in particular highlighted the driver’s excellent control and the competitiveness of the technical package.
On Sunday, Carrer confirmed his pace by taking victory in the Prefinal and victory in the Final, crossing the finish line with a gap of more than four seconds over the second-placed driver.
Strong presence of EKS chassis
The weekend also confirmed the competitiveness of EKS chassis across several categories.
In OK-N Junior, Patrick Bissa from Power Competition secured pole position, while in OK-N, Power Competition driver Biasatti finished P9 in the Final after receiving a penalty that affected his final result.
Unfortunate KZ2 race for Emme Racing
In KZ2, the two Emme Racing drivers — Moritz Ebner and William Lanzeni — showed strong pace during the weekend and both qualified for the Final with promising prospects.
Unfortunately, a technical issue compromised the race for both drivers, preventing them from converting their performance into a strong result.
A prestigious victory
The victory achieved by Gioele Carrer represents an important milestone for Emme Racing and for the EKS chassis project, secured at one of the most historic and competitive events in international karting.
