The sprint towards the grand finale has begun.
Another weekend with lots of fun both on the track and in the paddock, thanks to the 157 verified drivers who provided interesting races, with many twists, overtakes, battles, competitive moments, passion, "first times", as well as light-hearted moments with the return of ApEasy, the aperitif by Easykart, on Saturday evening at the end of free practice.
As regards the sporting aspect, the winners in Cremona were: Herman Bilushchenko (Easykart 60 Under 10), Riccardo Cassani (Easykart 60), Alessandro Cereda (Easykart 100), Marco Pirovano (Easykart 125), Marco Sertore (Easykart 125 Senior), Gabriel Moretto (BMB Challenge), Giulio De Amicis (TM Kart Challenge R1), Matteo Dondi (TM Kart Challenge R1 Master) and Riccardo Rigodanza (TM Kart Challenge R2).
Easykart 60 Academy: the adventure of the young drivers continues
A new race, a new adventure for the baby drivers on and off the track: supervised by Instructor Sabino De Castro, the Academy drivers took part in the pre-race meeting and hit the track to have fun with the “race phases”, learning and preparing for the move to the higher categories. At the end of the race day, all the drivers climbed up on the podium.
Easykart 60 Under 10: Herman Bilushchenko wins
A great success for Herman Bilushchenko in the category reserved for Under 10s. An excellent performance for him, also considering the fifth place overall, claimed at the end of a six-place comeback. Second place for Pietro Zorzi, author of the fastest lap and winner of the Sprint Race, third step of the podium for Mazurko Hryhorii, fourth Yevtukh Miron and fifth Stefano Sapuppo. Jack Wolff claimed pole in qualifying.
Easykart 60: Riccardo Cassani takes victory
Riccardo Cassani won in Easykart 60 after a great fight until the chequered flag against Edoardo Galimberti, a battle won by Cassani by just 100 thousandths. A competition between them that immediately heated up the fourth race day of the season: Cassani also won the Sprint Race, while Edoardo Galimberti took pole position. Coming back to the Final, in addition to Riccardo and Edoardo, there was also a great show on the track thanks to Patrik Mahdak, third just 344 thousandths behind the winner. Fourth position for Francesco De Luise, fifth Lola Mukhammadiyev. Fastest lap by Greta Galliani.
Easykart 100: first win for Alessandro Cereda
Alessandro Cereda took home his first win in the category after switching from Easy 60. A photo finish victory for him as he took the flag with just 92 thousandths of a second ahead of Tommaso D’Ambrosio, second at the end of an excellent weekend. As in Easy 60, the challenge between them began in the morning with D’Ambrosio taking pole position and Cereda winning the Sprint Race, as well as having set the fastest lap in the Final. Sebastian Micker climbed up on the third step of the podium, fourth Christian Miori thanks to a nine-position comeback, fifth Andrii Kruglyk.
Easykart 125: first victory for Marco Pirovano, first success of the season for Marco Sertore in Senior
First career success in Easykart 125 for Marco Pirovano, a victory claimed after a great three-place comeback and a very tight Final thanks also to the speed of Alessandro De Gaetano, second by 804 thousandths. Second consecutive podium for Riccardo Pollastri, third under the flag and author of the fastest lap. Lorenzo Magli took the victory in the Sprint Race and claimed his second consecutive pole position in qualifying.
In Senior, the reigning champion is back to roar. Marco Sertore returned to the top step of the podium at the end of a very competitive race day: in addition to the victory in Senior, Sertore finished seventh overall in the Final and eighth in the Sprint Race. Second place for Marcz Ferenc, third for Thomas Brundu. Fastest lap in the Final and pole in Qualifying for Sertore.
BMB Challenge: Gabriel Moretto poker face
In Cremona Gabriel Moretto played the poker of aces by scoring his fourth consecutive victory (fastest lap for him) after having set his fourth consecutive pole position in Qualifying. Second step of the podium for Andrea Calabrese at the end of a fantastic eight-position comeback, making up for the bad luck he had in the Sprint Race. Third place for Marco Maestranzi as he took the victory in Sprint Race.
TM Kart Challenge R1: Giulio De Amicis wins in overall, Matteo Dondi in Master
Giulio De Amicis took the victory in Cremona after a Final dominated from the first lap, while Ivan Rechsteiner climbed up to the second step of the podium, third place for Matteo Dondi, first of the Senior drivers. The fastest lap was set by Thomas Apostoli. Great balance instead in the Sprint Race with Dondi taking home the victory, pole position for De Amicis.
As already said, Dondi third overall and winner in Master after a great race day. Second spot for Giorgio Rebora, third for Maurizio Santonico. Pole position in qualifying, fastest lap in the Final and obviously victory in Sprint Race claimed by Dondi.
TM Kart Challenge R2: Riccardo Rigodanza returns to success
After winning the opening round in Castelletto, Riccardo Rigodanza took home another success, after a five-place comeback: in second place Samuele Marchetti, six places recovered for him, third step of the podium for Antonio Comidi - started 17th! Fastest lap in the Final and victory in the Sprint Race by Lorenzo Bellandi, the pole was set by Christian Cobellini.
Cremona represented the end of the first leg of the Easykart Trophy and the beginning of the second leg: the next round is scheduled for June 22nd at the 7 Laghi Kart in Castelletto di Branduzzo.
