IPKarting is strengthening its presence in the U.S. market by appointing KartZone as the exclusive importer of the Formula K and Praga Kart brands. The agreement has been established with the aim of creating a direct point of reference for the U.S. market, able to coordinate the distribution of IPK products, spare parts availability, technical support and trackside assistance.
The project also involves McCrone Motorsports, the American team led by Kristopher McCrone, which will manage the activities of the Formula K USA Race Team. The organization will also work in direct cooperation with SRP for the management of Shifter/KZ engines, adding dedicated racing support for drivers and teams involved in competitions to KartZone’s commercial network.
Thanks to the IPKarting-KartZone partnership and the support of McCrone Motorsports, sales, distribution and trackside activities are being integrated into a single organization. For drivers, teams, and dealers, this means being able to rely on a more structured presence for the Praga and Formula K brands, with improved availability of products and spare parts, technical service more closely aligned with market needs, and ongoing support at race tracks.
Distribution will be organized through two KartZone locations: KartZone Ohio, in Lorain, Ohio, and KartZone Texas, in San Antonio, Texas. This dual presence will make it possible to serve different areas of the United States more effectively, supporting the growth of the Formula K and Praga Kart brands both commercially and in racing.
With this agreement, IPKarting, KartZone, and McCrone Motorsports are launching a collaboration designed to bring greater continuity to the development of IPK products in the United States, strengthening the connection between distribution, technical assistance, and direct trackside support.
Kristopher McCrone, Founder & President of McCrone Motorsports and KartZone, said:
“This is a big step forward for both KartZone and McCrone Motorsports. Our experience with IPK began with the Tillotson T4 Racing series and we are excited to partner with IPK and build on the momentum of the Formula K and Praga brands in the U.S. Our focus is on supporting racers, teams, and dealers with the products, service, and trackside support they need to be successful. We're looking forward to growing these brands and creating new opportunities throughout the American karting market. ”
Daniel Sliva, CEO and co-owner of IPKarting, added:
“Our new collaboration with Kris and KartZone represents an important step forward. I am pleased that we will be represented by such a strong organization in Ohio. I am confident that this agreement will contribute to IPK’s growth in the USA.”
