A busy weekend for NEWMAN Motorsport, with the double trip to the international circuits of Zuera (Spain), valid for the first round of the FIA ​​Karting European Championship with Flavio Olivieri, and in Siena with Matteo Luvisi in the third round of the IAME Italia Championship.

Debut full of experience for Olivieri, at his first appearance in the selective European FIA Karting Championship with the Tony Kart material "OKJ" of the team from Cesena. In a tight qualification, with 65 drivers at the start, 58 of which are enclosed in the space of just 1 ", Olivieri conquers the fifteenth position in his heats with the time trial of 1: 02.354.

In the qualifying Heat,a retirement in the first race costs dearly to the Roman driver, and the following three finishes in fourteenth, tenth and twelfth positions are not enough to guarantee him access to the Final, but from 21 to 23 August he will have the opportunity to look for the immediate redemption in the second appointment with the championship that arrives in Italy, on the Sarno track.

"It was certainly an important weekend for both us and Flavio. We have had confirmation of the very high level of the European Championship. A single mistake was enough to jeopardize the entire work, but we have nevertheless shown that we are on the right track in the other heats and in Sarno we will certainly build on this experience " comments Andrea Pedrini.

In Siena, the team led by Andrea Pedrini confirms in the top positions in the IAME Series Italy. Matteo Luvisi, with the Tony Kart material "X30 Junior", gets close to the podium conquering the fourth place in the Final with four recovered positions, proving to be able to keep up with the drivers with a greater experience in this category, scoring excellent chronometric results.

In his qualifying round he won fourth place with the best time of 43 "304 and, in the two qualifying heats,  a ninth and fifth place, qualifying for the Final in eighth place overall (out of 27 starters). In the 20 laps of the Final, with a careful and flawless race, Matteo recovers four positions coming home just below the podium and posts the best lap of the race, crossing the finish line behind the Ukrainian Oleksandr Bondarev.

“Matteo is growing very fast and in Siena, in the Final, in addition to not having made any mistakes, he fought with great determination, scoring excellent laptimes and I am sure that the podium will come very soon "adds team manager Pedrini.

The intense race calendar of the NEWMAN Motorsport team continues this weekend with the first round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship (7-9 August) on the international Triscina circuit in Sicily, with a line-up consisting of 9 drivers: Giacomo Pedrini (Cesena), Thomas Baldassarri (Lugo di Ravenna),, Andrea and Emanuele Bruscino, Flavio Olivieri, Mattia Bucci, Vicenzo Scarpetta, Matteo Luvisi and the very young Alessandro Pellegrino in the entry level.
