Rok Cup 2025: The new SVR engine has its debut in the ROK Cup Italy, Winter Trophy and Festival Race
TKART Staff
03 November 2024

The 2024 edition of the ROK Cup Superfinal, the race of reference for the ROK Cup, has just come to an end, and already the OTK Kart Group one-make series by Vortex is projecting itself into 2025 with a very important novelty.

After the resounding success of the ROK SVR engine, which made its debut and gathered unanimous praises right at the Superfinal, we are proud to announce that the new engine by Vortex will be the engine in use in the Senior ROK, Expert ROK and Expert ROK Plus categories in the ROK Cup Italy races, in the ROK Cup Winter Trophy and in the ROK Cup Festival, from 2025. The engines will be soon available for purchase from the Vortex-ROK sales network and subsequent direct handling by drivers and teams in the above-mentioned ROK Cup events.

The SVR engine is born from Vortex's many years of experience in the single-make championships and in the CIK-FIA ‘open’ categories thus representing a further step forward for the engine range. This single-cylinder engine, 125 cc displacement, provided with an external water pump, the electrical starter, a centrifugal dry-clutch and equipped with the Dell'Orto VHSH 30mm carburettor, totally represents the ROK philosophy, combining high performance with ease of use and reliability, making it the ideal choice for drivers running in the Senior and Expert/Expert Plus categories.

The main advantages of the ROK SVR are:

  • High performances The SVR engine is the highest performing evolution of the ROK SV engine, which is conceptually inspired by the Vortex engines employed in the international kart races. This is why it offers a high level of performance to meet the needs of drivers in the Senior and Expert/Expert Plus categories
  • Easy handling The new engine by Vortex represents the highest technological evolution of the Italian brand, able of guaranteeing high performances, even with a simplified technical concept (as evidenced by the absence of the exhaust valve), all to the benefit of drivers who can have fun and driving pleasure thanks to its simplified engine management.
  • Reliability Like all Vortex products of the ROK range, the SVR engine stands for reliability, in full compliance with the founding philosophy of the ROK Cup competitions.

The ROK SVR therefore represents a major opportunity for all drivers of the Senior and Expert/Expert Plus categories, who from 2025 will have the chance to benefit from an engine that is even more pleasing to drive, technologically advanced, but - at the same time - reliable and easy to use and manage.

ROK GP engine confirmed for Junior ROK category

Remaining unchanged, on the other hand, is the Junior ROK category, which will continue to use the ROK GP engine in its “Junior” version. This category, which is fundamental for the growth of young and talented ROK drivers, will still employ the engine that, over the years, has always offered a level of performance appropriate to the category together with excellent reliability.
