On Sunday the test of the Rok Cup Italia will be held with live streaming and the first title will be assigned, that of the Rok Expert. The South Garda race will be the race for Junior Rok and Senior Rok before the start of the Italian ACI-Rok Championship in Siena (10-13 September).
EXPERT ROK. THE EXPERT TITLE IS UP FOR GRABS
The Expert category will be the first to finish the Rok Cup Italia, as this is not present in the context of the Italian ACI-Rok Championship.
Among the Experts there was great uncertainty in the opening round at South Garda in early July and on that occasion Donadei was the ruler. Later Donadei skipped Adria, leaving Bicciolo and Cogato room for recovery. The latter two shared their successes at Adria Karting and Bicciolo is now only one distance behind the leader Donadei.
We remind you that by regulation, in the Rok Expert you enter fully into the ranking only by participating in at least two of the three events on the calendar. For this reason the games will be decided only in the sprint of the final test this Sunday. For this reason it cannot be ruled out that drivers such as Silvestrini, Todeschini and Di Landro may also be included in the title race.
MINI ROK. MANY CONTENDERS WITH PARMEGGIANI AS FAVORITE.
Parmeggiani has stretched after the positive appointment in Adria, crowned with a success and a second place, but the opponents, led by Prescianotto are extremely combative. In addition to Prescianotto, to undermine Parmeggiani's first position, there are Berni, Lady Naude, Dragan and D'Ortensio.
The Australian Peebles, winner of race 2 and author of an impressive comeback in race 1 in Adria, should not be overlooked either.
SENIOR ROK. GAGLIANÒ THE BULLDOZER
Gaglianò is running like a bulldozer, he wins and grinds heavy points when he starts "behind" in race 2. To this are added two poles out of two in qualifying that make Gaglianò the most fit Rokker of the moment.
Locatelli and lady Tanja Muller have been running very well up to now but will have to make a further leap forward to worry the championship leader.
Very fast but not constant like Gaglianò, it was the youngsters who completed the first eight positions, Moncini, Ragone, Colombo, Bernardi and Demartis. These showed flashes of grit and speed, but they lacked the linearity of performance.
Who knows if the returning Molinari will be able to put pressure on the Gaglianò buldozer? If so, we will see a full confrontation between Genoese.
JUNIOR ROK. LAST CALL BEFORE THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Abbate and Ianiello were the protagonists of these first two (double) races. The two were also the protagonists of a few shots below the belt, but overall they are showing that they are very fast and determined.
The Apulian Donno has had excellent races but a flare-up is expected from him that projects him on the highest step of the podium and consecrates him definitively as a contender for the title.
Even the rest of the pursuers, Ladina, Panaev, Megna, Larini and Lupifieri only lacked the consistency of performance to be able to enter the top of the absolute rankings. Lonato will be an excellent opportunity for them to take the shot of victory and launch into the first round of the Italian ACI-Rok Junior Championship (Siena 10-13 September).
SUPER ROK. CICOGNINI AND D’ABRAMO RESUME THE FIGHT WITH MULLER
The very long confrontation between Cicognini and D’Abramo (both Superfinal champions) is rekindled on the track, South Garda, where this couple has already given us hard, exciting and fair battles.
Muller is getting closer and closer to the leading duo and seems ready to play as a third wheel, also in consideration of the fact that there are still four races to go at the end of the championship.
Lady Cardinali is looking for an acute who can show everyone what she is capable of. Just as Mira, Galbiati, Martinello and Gritti are looking for a major result, all Rokkers who have the potential to get on the podium in both races.
SHIFTER ROK. HOLD TRIES TO PULL AWAY
The Rok with the gearbox is giving away one of the most exciting championships of recent seasons, with many Rokkers able to win.
Hold took a slight margin at the top of the standings and is chased by Vita, Bizzozzero, Zemin and Buran, all very strong Rokkers, who will not give up easily.
We are sure that the Lonato race will enhance the qualities of these top Rok drivers and give us a show not to be missed.
