Slowly getting back into the swing of things, Speed Concepts Racing is heading north to the United States Pro Kart Series (USPKS) at New Castle Motorsports Park (NCMP) this weekend. With five drivers in contention to fight for race wins and podium results, the REDSPEED branded drivers will be present in three classes including X30 Masters, X30 Senior and X30 Junior.

“We were able to do some local races and then did a national event in North Carolina with three drivers,” explained Mike Speed. “We have slowly restarted and have been able to test to prepare for the rest of the season. The jam-packed schedule will be busy, but we are ready for multiple back-to-back weekends.”

With three drivers in the X30 Junior class, Paul Bocuse, Jack Jeffers and Jace Park will battle in one of the toughest fields in karting. Showing speed at the Florida Winter Tour (FWT), Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series and World Karting Association Manufacturers Cup, all three drivers were at the front of the field at several events and will look to stand atop the podium in New Castle.

Multi-time race winner and champion Luca Mars has ventured into the open wheel racing but will return to karting this weekend. Competing in the X30 Senior class, Mars will be a threat for race wins throughout the rest of 2020. Joining Mars in the X30 Senior ranks will be perennial Florida front-runner Zachary Hollingshead. Competing in the gearbox category so far in 2020, Hollingshead will return to Senior where he has had much success.

With a single entry in the eldest class of the series, Scott Roberts is also perennial front-runner. Always a threat, Roberts will join the Speed Concepts Racing program in Indiana in X30 Masters.

“The USPKS program is one of the strongest programs in the country, and we are happy to challenge for the championship,” added Alex Speed. “We have plenty of races at New Castle in the next few weeks, so it is very important for us to get started on the right foot and up to speed quickly.”
