Excited to get back to national level competition, Fort Lauderdale, Florida's Team Benik is heading north to the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Set to contend the second round of the World Karting Association (WKA) Manufacturers Cup program, Team Benik will bring three hungry competitors to the Tar Heel State as they restart their 2020 program.
"We have been back on track locally in the state of Florida to shake some of the rust off," explained Nick Mitchell. "We pinned out the rest of our 2020 schedule as there is a lot of racing happening in the next five months and will restart our national program in Charlotte at the WKA Manufacturers Cup."
With a new surface ready to go, Asher Orchstein, Michael Costello and Jeremy Fletcher will lead the charge into North Carolina. Piloting the notable Benik blue, Fletcher will pull double duty over the four-day weekend competing in both 100cc Junior with a Vortex ROK VLR powerplant and in X30 Junior. Costello will join Fletcher in the X30 Junior class to make it a potent two driver effort while Asher Orchstein will see action in Micro ROK.
"We have not competed in the WKA program for a while, but positive changes have piqued our interest," added Mitchell. "With the way the schedule has played out and three races at the Charlotte facility over six weeks, competition will be looking to get as much track time as possible with three major events."
Looking forward to returning to some form of normalcy, Team Benik will hit the track on Thursday, June 25th for a test day before the official weekend begins on Friday. Stay tuned to the Team Benik social media pages for news, information, results and photos from the event weekend.
With a jam-packed calendar for the remainder of 2020, Team Benik is ready to attack the rest of the season. With new and used chassis sales, tent and transport, arrive and drive as well as test programs available, Team Benik is aiming for the top step of the podium.
