From April 11th to 13th the opening round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship will take place at the historic Pista Salentina in Ugento (Lecce)

The Pista Salentina in Ugento is located in the "heel" of Puglia, in Torre San Giovanni, a few hundred meters from the sea, and is one of the tracks that have made karting history, having hosted many of the most important international events in the past.

Ugento, a past rich in international events.
The Apulian track, in operation since 1986, has hosted the most important karting events, especially in the nineties with the CIK-FIA European and World Championships, as well as the Italian Championships and the Open Masters in the early 2000s, when Lewis Hamilton, Nico Rosberg, and Robert Kubica also took part in the race. Among the drivers of that time was also Davide Forè, who 25 years later is trying again this year, always in the KZ2 shifter category. In the 2000 Open Masters, the multi-champion Alessandro Piccini also competed, who is still present in Ugento this year but as the mechanic of his son Alessio, 2024 Italian KZ2 vice-champion.

The last Italian Championship in 2022.
The last edition of the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Ugento dates back to 2022, with 246 drivers from 7 categories taking part. This year, the MINI Gr.3, MINI Under 10, OK-N, OK-N Junior, KZ2 and KZ2 Master categories will take to the track, with a new format that includes Prefinals and Finals.

A rather lively 1,380 meters.
The Ugento track is located in the south of Salento, 500 meters from the sea, in Torre San Giovanni (Lecce). After the 2002 expansion work that affected the part after the first corner, its length is 1,380 meters, with a clockwise direction, rather lively with its ups and downs. The structure also includes a brand new hotel, "Alfema Rooms" with a large restaurant, and a vast Camper Area.

Registration for the 2025 Italian ACI Karting Championship races.
Registration must be done following a new procedure in a specifically created portal, called "Kart Enter," which aims to reduce the timing of administrative checks. The link to access the procedure is: http://www.kartenter.it/

The rounds are registered in the National Sports Calendar as rounds with authorized foreign participation (ENPEA).
