Our Racing Team is competing in the Valencia round of the FIA Karting European Championship OK-OKJ, taking place at the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero, during a weekend made uncertain by the weather.
The Tony Kart Racing Team’s 2026 season continues in the FIA Karting European Championship, which features the OK and OKJ categories. At the Kartodromo Internacional Lucas Guerrero in Valencia (Spain), our racing division faced a weekend marked by variable conditions, with the Tony Kart Racer 401 T competing in both classes and powered by Vortex engines, the “engine division” of the OTK Kart Group.
In OKJ, after competing for the top positions in the championship’s opening round at Muro Leccese, Julian Frasnelli confirms his competitiveness in Valencia. Already on Friday, the Italian was the second-fastest in his free practice group, placed fourth in the second qualifying group, and secured a second-place finish in the first qualifying heat. Frasnelli continued his strong run in the elimination heats on Saturday, a day marked by rain, adding another second-place finish to his tally.
The results from the qualifying heats and super heat allowed him to climb four positions in the provisional standings. In the final, however, starting from the outside of the third row penalized him from the very start, relegating him to the thick of the mid-pack battle.
Emerson MacAndrew-Uren steadily improved his performance throughout the weekend. The British driver, competing in his fourth race in our official colors, finished the final right behind Frasnelli after climbing seven positions. Stepan Mazepin posted the third-fastest time in the first qualifying group, but a retirement in the qualifying heats affected the rest of his weekend. Oiva Vettenranta, Antonio Ianni, Augustin Feligioni, Jean Poujol, and Yubo Wen continue their upward trajectory ahead of the upcoming events on the calendar.
In OK, Jindřich Pešl kicked off the second round of the championship with the third-fastest time in Group 1 of qualifying, before securing third place in the qualifying heats. However, two retirements during the elimination heats affected the Czech driver’s standings, though he still managed to make his mark in the final with a nine-position climb.
Less fortunate, however, was his teammate Thomas Pradier, who was forced to retire early from the final after impressing in Super Heat B with a sixteen-position climb. Gabin Adam, Endo Arata, Gabriel Canal, Ilie Tristan Crisan, Gilles Herman, and Valerio Viapiana worked intensively alongside the team, racking up miles and continuing development work.
The Tony Kart Racing Team will head to Genk, Belgium, in two weeks to compete in the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship for the KZ and KZ2 categories (May 21–24).
