On the occasion of the third round of the championship in Cremona, the OTK Kart Group’s ‘engine division’ is crowned champion in the OK-N class with the VTS-N engine, while the VTM engine secures the victory in the MINI Gr.3 final, also winning the championship.
MINI Gr.3 – Following a victory and a second-place finish in the previous two championship rounds, the Vortex VTM confirms its position at the top of the category, securing the first place in the final of Cremona as well as the WSK Euro Series title. In the qualifyings, our engine sets the fastest time in Group 1 and the second-fastest one in Group 2. In the subsequent qualifying heats, however, it collects three wins, two top-three finishes and a fastest lap, along with a win and a second place in Saturday morning’s pre-finals.
Alfie Richard Mair (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Zane Pace (Tony Kart Racing Team) jump from the front row of the grid for the final. The Maltese driver takes the lead on the second lap, while the British driver is in third place. Pace remains firmly at the lead until the chequered flag, thus claiming the top step of the podium, while Mair is sent off the track because of a collision with a rival, subsequently penalised. Mair is nevertheless crowned champion, with a total of 296 points, while Pace finishes third with 213 points.
Also taking part in the final are David Johannes Aagten (Tony Kart Racing Team), Nahil Padovani Amador (Tony Kart Racing Team), Alvaro Medeiros (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Farel Beretta Dugat (Tony Kart Racing Team).
OK-N – The Vortex VTS-N, fresh from victory at the previous round at Lonato del Garda, is once again the star of Cremona, completing the weekend with the title. Our engine sets the second-fastest time in Group 1 of qualifying and, in the subsequent qualifying heats, gains two wins, three top-three finishes and two fastest laps. In Saturday morning’s pre-finals, it also secures a second and a third place.
In the final, Andrea Giudice (Tony Kart Racing Team) and Lucas Bonhomme (Jana Racing) hold their positions at the front of the field, battling for a podium place until the closing stages. Thanks to his results across the three championship rounds, the Italian driver gains the first place in the overall standings with 302 points. Ryan Carré (Jana Racing) also stands out in the final, with a comeback of 13 positions.
OKJ-N – The Vortex VTS-N starts the weekend with a positive start with the second-fastest time in Group 2, while in the subsequent qualifying heats our engine secures one victory and two top-three finishes. The final features Giuseppe Noviello (Tony Kart Racing Team), Victor Thomas Gorun (Tony Kart Racing Team), Elias Boullier (Jana Racing) and Can Gunfer Tuzuner (Tony Kart Racing Team).
MINI Gr.3 U10 – In the category reserved for the youngest drivers, the VTM shows off with some promising results thanks to Romeo Ferrante (Tony Kart Racing Team), able to compete for a place in the top-10 of the final.
