Fresh from winning the World Karting Championship in the KF category, Kosmic’s Polish driver Karol Basz is already back on track… at the wheel of a Lamborghini Super Trofeo.

The test is a major step in Basz’s career, since it marks his entry in what will probably become “his world” as of next year: GT racing.

That the new champion is planning a future far from karting is not just an impression. Giovanni Minardi, Basz’s manager and head of Minardi Management, confirms:
“It was a big day for Karol; he got the chance to try himself with a very competitive and challenging car, a Lamborghini, on a highly technical circuit, Vallelunga. I wish to thank Marco Antonelli and Antonelli Motorsport and Lamborghini for this great opportunity. It’s a first test of many on schedule that will take us into 2016 and helps us define our role in the next Championship.”

Karol Basz also expressed great enthusiasm: “I am very happy about how the day went. It was all new for me, from the car to the track. Lamborghinis are truly incredible cars; I was amazed by the engine power and brake performance. We have other test days on GT cars ahead of us now, which will help us make the right decision.”

We can’t but say: Congratulations, Karol! And good luck for the future.
Even if as kart fans we also can’t help asking: who will replace the World Champion on the Kosmic Racing Team?
Stay tuned...
