March 2, 2018 - Floridian Jason Bell is set to kick off the 2018 season in the Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) program with M1 GT Racing. Piloting a new M1 GT Racing prepared Audi R8 LMS GT4 machine in his quest for victory at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, Bell will look to get up to speed quickly after receiving delivery of the new Audi last week. After successfully competing with M1 GT Racing in the GTA and SprintX programs in 2017, Bell is happy to be back in PWC competition for 2018 and has his sight sets on the end of the year championship.
"I am excited to be back in PWC competition with M1 GT Racing for the 2018 program. We had a successful season last year and we are ready to take on the new Audi R8 LMS GT4 car in the first event of the season in my home event of St. Petersburg," explained Bell. "We recently completed a test at the NOLA Motorsports Park and I was very happy with the results."
Bell has preparing for 2018 since the close of the 2017 season. Participating in the Firestone Grand Prix media day with Pro Mazda Presented by Cooper Tires driver Oliver Askew, Verizon IndyCar Series champion Will Power and St. Petersburg city officials, the event was the kickoff to the first event of the season.
Bell continued, "I am confident that M1 GT Racing is one of the best in the paddock and it has been a pleasure to work with them and Audi. With a positive atmosphere and great work ethic from everyone, I feel the team is ready to take on the Streets of St. Pete and kick off the season strong."
Jason Bell would like to thank his marketing partners for support throughout the 2018 season. A big thank you to Gridsport, Audi Tampa, Motorsports by Reeves, Continental Benefits, Frost NYC, Osteria, Franklin Manor and M1 GT Racing.
