Continuing to add to their growing driver lineup, Team Crosslink is excited to add Luke Lange to their 2021 list of drivers.
Set to compete in the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series, SKUSA Pro Tour, and United States Pro Kart Challenge (USPKS), Lange will pilot a Team Crosslink prepared Exprit chassis in his hunt for race wins, podiums and championships.
“Luke is a great driver, and I am confident that he will be a great fit to our program,” added Team Crosslink Manager Sean Owens. “He loves to be at the track and enjoys the high level of competition. Being a Texas kid, Luke will be able to compete regionally to stay in the seat and sharp in between our national level event weekends.”
“I would like to thank Mike and Alex Speed as well as the rest of the Speed Concepts Racing program for all of their hard work and support in the past, and I wish them nothing but the best of luck in the future,” added Luke Lange. “I am excited at a new opportunity, a new program and with some new direction as we enter 2021 and can’t wait to get started. Team Crosslink is one of the bigger national level programs in the country, and I believe that their development program and progression from karts to cars is unmatched and something that I look forward to being a part of.”
In 2019, Lange claimed a win and a pair of podiums en route to a third-place finish in the X30 Junior class at the SKUSA Winter Series. Lange also claimed top-five results at the ROK Cup USA Florida Winter Tour, SKUSA Pro Tour, and WKA Manufacturers Cup before claiming a front row starting position at the SKUSA SuperNationals. 2020 saw the now 16-year-old top the podium in the SCCA June Sprints at Road America behind the wheel of a Hyundai Veloster N TCA. With multiple top-ten results in the SRO Motorsports Group TC America program, Lange returned to karting for wheel-to-wheel action in USPKS competition before capping the year off with a strong drive from 28th on the grid to finish seventh in ROK Senior at the prestigious ROK the RIO.
Owens added, “We have added key people to Team Crosslink in the past few months and have a few more announcements on the horizon. Luke is a key piece to our puzzle, and I look forward to working with him when the season starts.”
With the SKUSA Winter Series taking place at the AMR Motorplex in the shadows of the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Lange will take his first green flag of the 2021 season over the January 8-10 weekend.
