During the ROK International Final, OTK unveiled its new model Micro karts, that will fit the colors of every brand in the group: Tony Kart, Kosmic, FA Kart, Exprit, and Redspeed.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he ROK International Final in Lonato, final act of the one-make series dedicated to Vortex ROK engines, is more than just a great festival of karting. In fact, over the past few years the OTK Group has been relying on the event to showcase its most interesting novelties. Last year, it was the turn of the DVS and Micro ROK engines, this year the “star” was the new Micro kart, intended to be powered precisely by the Micro ROK. The product is targeted to the youngest driver, age 6 and up, and not perchance the main characteristic is the adjustable driving position, both in terms of seat and pedal board.

The pedal board has a classic shape, with two swing-pivot panels than can be rotated and adjusted to different settings to become pedal extensions. The pedals, themselves, in turn, are coated in high-grip material to increase foot hold.

 

 

 

 

The seat is also easily adjustable, thanks to a quick release block that allows to vary position along a 10 cm range.

 

 

 

 

These features are engineered to cater to drivers who are prone to grow quickly and significantly. Such a broadly adjustable driver position allows parents to get a product that their kids can adapt as they grow, without having to get rid of it.

Although products for kids are ideally designed to be less expensive, OTK aimed for excellent quality standards nonetheless. A stand-out feature in this respect is the double master cylinder modeled after the component used on adult karts. The double circuit guarantees the maximum in safety, with a cylinder always ready to do the job in case the other one fails. And since each cylinder commands just one of its calipers, there is always a correctly functioning caliper at all times.

During the presentation at the ROK International Final, a group of kids had the opportunity to try the Micro kart first-hand and left with immense satisfaction.
OTK still has to release official technical specifications and retail prices, but the new Micro kart is ready to hit the market and we will soon know all details. Stay tuned...
