[dropcap]B[/dropcap]orn in 2002 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Caio debuted in karting at seven years of age, already finishing runner-up in the Brazilian championship the following year. In only a short space of time, he has managed to win several national and international titles, as well as finishing third in the CIK-FIA KFJ World Championship and sixth in the CIK-FIA European Championship in 2015, in addition to being voted best Brazilian karting driver in 2014, as well as last year.
When he makes his debut in the WSK Champions Cup in Adria, Collet will be the first South American driver to represent the Birel ART Factory Team on track, following the career path taken by other Brazilians such as Formula One driver Felipe Massa, who is managed by Nicolas Todt.

as one of our drivers further strengthens the Birel ART line-up, since he is one of the most promising young talents we have seen in recent years. Brazil and South America have produced many drivers who started in karts and went on to car racing, in some cases going all the way to Formula One. This last group includes All Road Management drivers Pastor Maldonado and Felipe Massa, who are currently working hard in preparation for the 2016 Formula One season”.
Caio Collet: "I am very happy to be part of a team that is as prestigious as Birel ART. I'm really looking forward to starting the new season with my new team. I feel very motivated! I hope I can help the team achieve good results and we will be working very hard to do just that. The potential of the entire team is very high, and their support has already been amazing. I can’t wait to get on track!”
