Nielsen joins KSM as coach and driver
Max Bernardi
08 January 2018

Nielsen already collected countless titles as a kart driver, so after 2010 and 2015 he won the WSK Final Cup in 2017. The Vice-European Champion was third at the KF World Champs and currently proved his skills with a victory on track at the German Kart Championship in 2017. Moreover, he had success in the WSK Super Masters Series in the years 2010 and 2015.

In 2016, the Dane switched to Formula-Sport and started at the German Formula 4. Here he immediately became the best rookie and finished his first season very successfully in 8th place overall. Last year he was able to top the results of his premiere season with 6th place and a race victory in Oschersleben.
Now the former TonyKart factory driver returns to his so-loved karting sport, not only as a driver of the KSM Schumacher Racing Team but also as a coach. Nielsen wants to support and develop the young talents of the team with his vast experience. “During the test days in Lonato I had already the chance to support the young pilots as a coach. I had lots of fun. Especially it was great to see how the boys are improving lap by lap."

Ralf Schumacher is also impressed by his new signing: “Nicklas is the missing part for the KSM Schumacher Racing Team 2018. On the one hand he strengthens the team as an extremely strong driver and on the other hand he helps our young talents in their development by contributing his great experience.”
Nicklas Nielsen will represent the colors of the KSM Schumacher Racing Team in 2018 at the German Kart Championship (DKM) and at all international races such as the European Championship and the CIK-FIA World Championship.
