It was 1965… and things were moving fast, very fast. On the straightaway of the Monza track a man was trying to set what, at the time, was a futuristic record: launching himself at over 200 km/h while lying flat on a special go-kart.
The man’s name was Livio Bolis, a karting pioneer as well as a talented driver, with over 150 victories in his career. The vehicle with which he attempted this endeavour was a special Tony Kart, designed and built for the occasion by Antonio Bosio, legendary founder of the Prevalle-based company which today is a worldwide leader in chassis production. It was powered by a 100cc rotary valve Parilla engine.
