Telemetry or data acquisition system? Before explaining the main sensors and accessories that are used according to the class (from MINI to KZ, via single-speed vehicles) or according to the type of end user (amateur, practitioner or professional) and which are the most suitable, It should be noted that there is never talk about telemetry but about actual data acquisition systems in karting.

In fact, the term telemetry refers to the possibility of measuring and recording parameters in real time remotely. However, in professional competitions any form of data acquisition in real time with a radio link is prohibited, so it is not possible to view the parameters recorded by the sensors directly on a PC in the pits while the kart is still running on the track. In fact, in the most recent acquisition systems, data can be downloaded wirelessly (therefore without having to connect with a cable), only with the engine switched off.
