Ocean! This is the name of the Oberon kart that remains on the sea-inspired theme of the otehr model: the Shark. While the latter is intended for international categories, the Ocean aims to meet the needs of drivers who compete in national classes, those that still attract amateurs.
The frame is manufactured by Parolin Racing Kart based on Oberon Racing Kart’s guidelines, design and technical specifics.
It has a classic shape, with mixed 30 and 32 mm tubes. Technical innovations presented in the 2015 homologation include: cold welding, which preserves tube characteristics; new pedal attachments that allow for less welding points; a re-designed floor board attachment; light-weight fairings (with redesigned graphics) and supports that cut overall weight by 2.5 kg; new steering column central trapeze with adjustable footrest rod.
Despite being a kart that was only approved last year, in 2016 Oberon Racing Kart has introduced several innovations. Based on continuous development, thanks also to a number of track tests, a lot of work was carried out on the bodywork, experimenting with different types of tubes to adapt to the various types of tyres. Regarding the braking system, while Parolin Racing Karts’ Eurostar model was used in 2015, this year saw the introduction of new pumps featuring threaded inserts, which improve oil input and maintenance over time. Regarding accessories, there are new stub axles, with reinforced steering arm attachments; the axle bearing housings have improved grip and smoothness; the gearbox lever and related steel Unibols with a 10 mm pitch; the floor tray has a new design and graphics. Lastly, the hydraulic wiring have a revised layout and improved fittings.
