When you become a kart racing driver, even just for practice session laps, you have to deal with the need to wear specific technical clothing. Speaking of shoes, if sneakers can be more than ok for driving in Rental karts, for Racing karts it becomes a must to have specific driver shoes for karts. There are many different options, in terms of manufacturing companies and characteristics to refer to. Although the shoes are not subject to approval, we have narrowed the circle in this selection of products, referring only to the shoe manufacturers that have FIA Karting approved overalls in their catalogue (what does thatmean? For further information, read the “
Dossier | FIA approvals: what they are, what they are for, how long they last… the definitive guide!”). For each one, we have selected the top-of-the-range shoe model, so as to give you an overview of the best that a kart driver can buy in the present day. Some of these companies also produce models that are less technically demanding and certainly less expensive. Furthermore, there are shoes made by companies that do not have FIA Karting approved overalls in their catalogue. This time, however, we decided to focus on this segment of the market, with the certainty that, in the future, we will certainly include others.
N.B. As always, we are also waiting for the intervention of the TKART community which can enrich this selection of top-of-the-range boots for karting via the "contributions" at the end of the article.
