Among the manufacturers of kart engines, Rotax is one of the best known and most widely used. If you have a Rotax MAX engine and, above all, if you participate (or have participated) in the Rotax MAX Challenge, the one-make championship promoted by the Austrian company, you know perfectly well that the carburetor used in all classes (from Micro to DD2, as well as Mini, Junior and Senior Max) is the DELLORTO VHSB 34 (to learn more, read "Under Examination | The DELLORTO VHSB 34 carburettor by ROTAX"). What you may not know, however, is that there are several products on the market designed to better manage this component: from those for setting the carburetion to tools that ensure its integrity and correct operation. We offer you 5 articles, including tools and accessories, that you should definitely know if you have a Rotax Max powered kart!

N.B. Do you think there are other products that can be added to this selection? Don't hesitate to share them with other TKART users in the "Contributions" section at the end of the article. The community will be grateful to you!

Rotax carburetor wrench with magnetic valve needle holder

This anodized aluminium wrench has several functions: the hexagonal head allows you to dismantle the carburetor bowl cap; In addition, along the entire handle, there are eight holes, which act as seats for as many valve needles; at the back, finally, there are two slots: one capable of accommodating a spare K-type conical pin and the other for the clips of the pin. Protecting this section is a pressure retaining cap. This tool is also equipped with a neodymium magnet, which allows it to be fixed to any ferrous surface (such as, for example, the toolbox), in order to reduce jolting and reduce the risk of ruining the castings present in the housings.
