Those familiar with urban circuits or tracks with high curbs certainly know how easily chains can break in the non-shifter category. In the same way, all karters know how short gear ratios (with larger wheels) expose the chain to a possible impact with the ground, even just by setting down the rear right-hand tyre outside of the track.

To obviate these problems there’s the chain and wheel guard, an accessory formed by two nylon disks that are locked to the sides of the wheel. Thanks to a diameter greater than that of the wheel and chain, this protection absorbs any possible impact and avoids breakage and deformation.
