4 ACCESSORIES FOR YOUR STEERING WHEEL

You certainly don't need TKART to understand how fundamental the steering wheel is for using your kart (if you have any doubts about it... Well, we have a big problem!). In addition to determining its correct position, perhaps using accessories such as adjustable steering wheel hubs (for more information read "Technical Focus | Perfect position with the IPK adjustable steering wheel hub"), it is advisable to use the appropriate accessories both while driving and when, in the pits, mechanical work involving it is carried out. Here are some of them.

STEERING WHEEL COVER

This is the accessory you must have if you wish to preserve the material with which the rim of your steering wheel is covered for as long as possible. The reason why we recommend using a steering wheel cover is not only aesthetic: in fact, the steering wheel cover directly affects the correct grip of your hands on the steering wheel. The materials (genuine or synthetic leather, Alcantara, rubber, etc.) used by kart manufacturers to offer an optimal grip between the gloves and the steering wheel, in fact, are often delicate and subject to rapid deterioration if placed in contact with the classic solvents that are used in normal karting activities (petrol, degreasers, etc.). Therefore, in order not to accelerate the natural wear of this component, it is a good idea to protect it with this special cover whenever you are not driving. The item proposed is made with a waterproof and elastic material, to adapt to all types of steering wheels on the market.
