Oil is a fundamental element for 2-stroke kart engines and preparing the blend correctly is crucial for their operation and performance (for more information read "How to | How to prepare a blend for karts"). There are different types (synthetic, vegetable, synthetic-based) and there are numerous products available on the market, but only CIK-FIA approved ones can be used in competitions promoted by the International Automobile Federation (TKART has listed them all here: "Dossier | All, or almost all, of the lubricants approved for 2-stroke kart engines" and given several tips to kart drivers in these articles "How to | 5 essential things to know about kart engine oil" and "Must Have | The oils for the blends of the single-brand classes and the percentages of use of the winning teams"). ELF HTX 909

In the long list of oils used at Le Mans, the ELF HTX 909 is in fourth position by percentage of use. It is a synthetic lubricant, designed for high performance 2-stroke racing engines. The French company ensures maximum efficiency with all types of fuel, as well as preventing the formation of deposits in the combustion chamber.

The ELF HTX 976+ was also among the choices in the World Championship, however by a lower percentage (4%) of participants.
