It's false. I recommend setting the pressure for a single-speed kart lower than a KZ, because in the kart with gears, the structure of the tyres is more stressed on bends due to the greater weight (about 30 kg). These are minor differences, for example: if I set the pressure on the cold tyre of a single-speed kart at 0.45 bar, the KZ I tyres can be set at 0.50. However, even though there is little difference, these settings help the rubber work properly, without increasing mechanical stress at low pressure and speeding up the time required to reach an ideal working pressure.
