R15 is the name of the new engine developed by LKE for the MINI class. It is a totally new project compared to the previous R14, with particular attention paid to cooling and reducing friction to make the most of engine power.

R15 is the new engine for the MINI class by LKE, the motoring offshoot of the Sicilian Lenzokart. The result of an initial design carried out entirely on computer using CAD software, the R15 was then refined and developed on the company's test benches. At first glance, compared to the previous R14, which only had national approvals, an increase in the size of the cylinder and the head to improve cooling is noticeable. In fact, according to the LKE technicians, longer fins increase heat dissipation. In fact, the 60 cc engines in the MINI class are air cooled and, taking into account the low average speeds of karts, together with the sizes of the accessories, it is easy to understand how scarce useful air for cooling is.
The new LKE Engines engine for the MINI class is called R15 and it is a totally new project compared to the previous national approval.
