About 280 drivers already entered the 2024 season’s opening WSK Champions Cup

The WSK Champions Cup will take place at the South Garda Karting of Lonato next January 17 – 21, 2024.

Everything is now ready for the first karting event of the year, the WSK Champions Cup that will take place at South Garda Karting in Lonato from January 17 to 21, 2024. With approximately 280 drivers already confirmed, it immediately establishes itself among the favorite races to kick off the new season. For this occasion, the MINI, OKNJ, OKJ, OK and KZ2 categories take to the track, featuring the most qualified manufacturers and teams, along with many innovations in the competitive evolution of the drivers – from category transitions among the youngest to new experiences for the more experienced drivers.

After the winter break and the great successes of 2023, WSK Promotion is ready to kick off another exciting year of top-level karting, providing the arena for everyone to showcase their skills. This marks the first of 12 race weekends in 2024, spanning a total of 6 different series.

Numerous racing aces have left their mark in the WSK Champions Cup Hall of Fame, including Paolo De Conto, Viktor Gustavsson, Niklas Nielsen, Logan Sargeant, Ben Hanley, Karol Basz and many other well-known faces such as Stan Pex, Pedro Hiltbrand, Senna Van Walstijn and Cristian Bertuca. They are joined by young talents currently engaged in single-seaters like Andrea Kimi Antonelli, Paul Aron and Dennis Hauger.

It is worth noting that the winners in the previous edition of the WSK Champions Cup were Cristian Bertuca (ITA/BirelART-TM Kart) in KZ2, David Walther (DNK/Tony Kart-Vortex) in OK, Lewis Wherrell (GBR/Exprit-TM Kart) in OKJ, Iskender Zulfikari (TUR/Parolin-Iame) in MINI Gr.3 and Oleksandr Legenkyi (UKR/KR-Iame) in MINI Gr.3 Under 10.

The program in Lonato kicks off with free practice sessions on Wednesday, January 17, and Thursday, January 18. The official qualifying sessions and the first heats will follow on Friday, January 19. Saturday, January 20, will feature additional heats, while, prefinals and finals will be on Sunday, January 21, with broadcast live on TV, streaming on the WSK Promotion Facebook page and on the WSK, Motorsport.com, and YouTube websites:
