TKART Staff
23 December 2023

It is called the Karting Champions League and it is the new Championship ready to appear on the karting competitive panorama in 2024, with the aim of training talents in the world of racing and of which CRG will be a technical partner, through the supply of chassis for all the 5 categories that will animate this project. The organization of the Championship will be handled by motorsport professionals, among which the name of MP Motorsport stands out, the Dutch team that has been a protagonist in motor racing for many years.

There will be 8 events scheduled in different European countries and on some of the most renowned tracks in the world of karting competitions, for a total of 32 races, as well as two days of official pre-season testing. The 2024 Karting Champions League will officially start in April on the Wackersdorf circuit in Germany, before stopping at Rudskogen in Norway in May and again in Germany in Mülsen for Round 3 in June. It will then be the turn of the Spanish stage in Valencia in mid-July and after the summer the Championship will move to Denmark, to Rødby, before the events in Angerville in France and Belgium (event still to be confirmed). The eighth and final Round will take place in Campillos, Spain, at the end of November.

There are many added values of this Karting Champions League, first and foremost the formula of the single technical management and at the same time the authority of a technical partner like CRG, which will guarantee very high standards for all participating drivers. The format of the Championship requires participants to drive the same karts with a single setup and the engines will be exchanged every weekend. It will therefore be the drivers and not the vehicle who will make the difference on the track, with the certainty of being able to compete with their opponents on equal terms, using the same technical material. The Karting Champions League is also based on the “Arrive & Drive” concept, which will allow participants to take part in the season for a fixed amount, which includes the use of the kart, fuel, tyres, transport costs, maintenance, as well as technical support and driver coaching.

There are 5 categories ready to battle on the track for the final victory, starting from 8 years old: Micro Max K6, Mini Max K5, Junior Max K4, Senior Max K3, Shifter TM KZ K2.

A great appeal for choosing this Championship will be the prize offered by the organizers, which provides the winner of the Shifter TM KZ K2 class with the 2025 season in the Spanish F4 Championship with MP Motorsport, completely free of charge.

Furthermore, all drivers of the classes that will take part in the Championship, from K5 to K2, will earn points every year based on the final ranking and these points will be converted into “MP points” at the end of each season. These points can then be redeemed at MP Motorsport to participate in Formula 4 test days.
