After finishing the first round in Lonato in third position, Emanuele Olivieri triumphed on the Adria Karting Raceway circuit and takes the provisional leadership of the championship in the MINI class.

The weekend raced by the Formula K Serafini team in Adria was excellent. The IPK material powered by TM Racing confirmed itself at the top of the rankings in MINI, a class that saw 82 participants at the start and a very even competition.

Emanuele Olivieri once again proved to be an absolute protagonist in MINI. The Italian started with the second-best group time in the qualifiers and then finished four of his five heats in the top five, including two wins and a fastest lap. The young driver dashed from fourth position in the pre-final, but in just four laps he took the lead and crossed the finish line in first position with an advantage of over one second on his direct rival. The Formula K Serafini standard bearer thus won pole position for the final and also in the final race of the weekend he delivered a superlative performance: thanks to excellent management of the tussles, Olivieri won with a sprint finish and, after having achieved third place in the first round in Lonato, he now finds himself at the top of the provisional championship rankings. In addition, with this result the Italian brings home the second victory as well as the fifth podium out of seven races held in the various WSK 2021 series.

Also Juliusz Ociepa‘s performances were positive. The Polish driver didn’t shine in the qualifiers but recovered in the heats. The Formula K Serafini driver gained another two positions in the pre-final, but the final was his best race of the weekend: thanks to an extraordinary comeback of eleven positions, Ociepa crossed the finish line in 13th place and proved his competitiveness. Oleksiy Yaremiy is also constantly improving, performing very well in the heats and recovering a total of 18 positions compared to the qualifiers. The Ukrainian driver forced his way into the final, a race in which he gained eight positions and showed his speed. His teammate Ilia Berezkin was just as fast, setting the tenth best group time in the qualifiers and confirming his potential in the heats, always remaining in the top ten area, with the exception of a race in which he was forced to withdraw. Unfortunately, the Russian standard bearer saw his access to the final fade due to an action-packed pre-final, losing ground while fighting close to the top ten.

Makar Savelev showed how much he has improved during the heats, but unfortunately he had to leave the pre-final prematurely. Sebastian Koziaev also raced convincingly in the heats and showed good progress. Both drivers of the Formula K Serafini team gained significant experience in view of future competitions.

The next event for the Formula K drivers is set for the weekend of 25-27 June, the date on which the third and final round of the WSK Euro Series will take place at the Circuito Internazionale Napoli in Sarno. On the weekend of 18-20 June, instead, Formula K will be racing in Wackersdorf for the first round of the FIA Karting European Championship KZ-KZ2.
