Large contingent of Redspeed drivers descend on Indiana.

The 2020 edition of the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) SummerNationals was one of the best events of the season for Speed Concepts Racing. Looking to not only repeat, but improve their performance from last year, the Florida based program will bring seven drivers for nine entries across three classes this coming weekend at the New Castle Motorsports Park.

With the SKUSA SummerNats, the final round of the Superkarts! USA Pro Tour, Speed Concepts Racing will aim to put their Redspeed chassis at the front of the field when the checkered flag falls. With four drivers in both the KA100 Junior and X30 Junior divisions, a single SCR entry will be looking for SKUSA glory in Mini Swift.

“We have always performed well at New Castle and will look to continue our success this year,” explained Mike Speed. “We have several returning drivers in our program this weekend, but we also welcome a trio of new ones in Christian Cameron, Colin Lloyd and Nikita Johnson.”

While David Ramirez will be the lone entry in Mini Swift, Ayden Ingratta and G3 Argyros will both pull double duty in the KA100 Junior and X30 Junior ranks. Joining Ingratta and Argyros in KA will be Speed Concepts Racing newcomers Christian Cameron and Collin Lloyd while Jack Jeffers and Nikita Johnson will complete the quartet in X30 Junior. Cameron, a consistent frontrunner on the western half of the country, is the son of former motorsports driver Steve Cameron and the owner of Cameron Racing, a top tier team in the SRO Motorsports program while Lloyd has type-one diabetes and is racing for T1D Racers, a non-profit organization that allows children and young adults with Type 1 Diabetes to experience high level competitive karting. Nikita Johnson, who is 13 years old, is making his return to karting after testing the waters in both Legends and Formula Cars for the past twelve months. Showing great speed paired with front of the field results in 2018 and 2019, his return to national level karting is welcomed by Speed Concepts Racing who have high hopes for the young driver as they take him under the wing of their development program.
